'Cause I've walked for 2 whole (IRL) days on and off and I've only come across 2 vast, expansive woodland and desert biomes.
From what I've read, I'm not sure if there's meant to be only a few in each world, or if one should be able to encounter almost every single kind in each save, but I've covered a long distance and hit nothing :/
I have two tagias, two deserts, a savannah, a tundra, a rainforest, and a bunch of other forested locales in what amounts to only about 2-4 minutes walk in any direction. You may just be having bad luck, they aren't that large usually.
You may be confusing climate zones for biomes. Even in Large Biomes, encountering only Forest and Desert in two days of walking would be odd, but two days of Temperate climate (Forest/Taiga/Birch/Plains/Xhills/Swamps) and Hot Climate (Desert/Plains/Mesa) would be perfectly ordinary even with a Default world.
