My minecraft used to run just fine, but once the new patch came out with the birch trees, I can not longer play. I get 0 fps and it takes for ever for anything to happen. It is even difficult for me to exit the game. What is going on? I have deleted the .bin file and redownloaded the game multiple times. However, when i download the game, there is no download really. It just opens the game up instantly. Shouldn't it take longer to download than that? Is there another way to uninstall minecraft?
turn your computers power off and select repair setup and just wait when you get back it will re-download every thing and that should fix it it fixed mine
I think I may have had the same problem. Sometimes your world generator can create corrupt chunks that effect game speed. I had one that limited my fps to 2. To fix this, I got the help of another forums member who used MCEdit to delete the bad chunk. I suggest downloading the same program and trying it out for yourself. Remember to make a backup.
Sadly, I can't help because I've just started using another operating system besides Windows, and I'm having trouble with programs. Good luck to you.

There's only one way to find out. We must tie him up and throw him in the lake. If he lives, he is a whitch. If he dies, he is human. MY LOGIC BEATS YOURS.
Then it's not what happened to me. try deleting MC from your computer and re-downloading it off minecraft.net. And try playing BETA in your browser instead.
