For lack of better name, I actually decided to take one of my suggestions from another thread (because it was too unrelated to continue discussion on it) and make it a new thread. The idea is for a new prefix mob, because they said they'd add more. Basically, these are ice versions of blazes. That being said, being in warmer biomes or near lava hurts them for too long and rain really hurts them, as in kills them in less than 30 seconds
Ice wraiths behave just like normal blazes, except they shoot two blue flames that move a little slower than a normal blaze's fireball. There's also a longer delay between the two shots, other than that, they fire as often as a normal blaze would. Actually, the main thing Ice Wraiths try to do is collide with you. They might shot slower fireballs and have longer delays, but in their icey domain, they can move pretty fast, especially on ice. Ice Wraiths only shoot at you (sporadically) if you're a ways off or just plain can't get to you. Otherwise, they zoom towards you, trying to make contact.
Getting hit by the icey flames inflicts you with frostbite/ frozen effect, which acts like wither (As in, it can kill you.), but also acts like slowness. The effect only takes half a heart for every five seconds, instead of two. Even so, the blue flames are a tad easier to dodge than a normal blaze's attacks and there's only two of them. If the Ice Wraith makes contact with you, there's a chance of a Frostbite II, which would be almost Slowness III equivalent and Wither I. However, this would not stack and would only reset. Also, the chance of getting it is 1 out of every ten hits. Most of the time, you'd just lose 3 health (1.5 hearts), on Normal, if you got no armor that is.
Another tidbit I'd like to add, but think it would take too much coding to do, is any metal armor (leather and somehow diamond would be excluded) amps the damage to 2 health at a time, while leather and diamond almost cancel it out, meaning a player in leather armor loses half a heart every 2-3 times, instead of one.
All in all, I think this would be a little too complicated to be considered, but does it sound decent? I'm not sure what the drops could be (snowball would be too easy to get elsewhere), but perhaps you could get a rare drop of a bluefire charge, which works for only 3-5, maybe 10 times before breaking, but badly damages blazes and endermen. (hurts other mobs modestly, with a change of them getting frostbite as well)

"I don't plan to add a new dimension at the moment. It's just to performance heavy on servers, and the current dimensions need more attention before we start adding new ones." < Yeah, like biomes or actual varied terrain in the nether. Nether ruins didn't do the trick at all.
An interesting idea, and a decent one at that. The largest problems I have with the idea are the lack of a good drop (not a fan of the ideas suggested), and the fact that it shares the same model as the Blaze, just colored differently. When Minecraft gets new mobs it is usually very similar to existing mobs, so I would rather this get a new model entirely.
As for drop ideas, I'm not sure. Maybe something that makes it easier to travel in the Nether, as they seem to be opposites of each other. Like an ingredient for a potion that allows you to walk on top of liquids, so you could pass over Lava oceans. But really I am not sure.
