Support, this would be very useful as you can only place one ender chest and your friends can still access your items you wish to share, only thing to say is maybe a 5-6 digit code because 4 just seems to easy to guess
It would be kind of useful if you play in SMP servers, but if you want to use it in a map, you can use the isLocked NBT tag with setblock or the command that changes Tile Entity data from a block (not sure what it was, /datatag?), so I say

It would just simply be that if it has a combination in it, it would be locked. Otherwise, it wouldn't. No need for an isLocked tag, just a combination tag would do.

Don't Ender chests already serve this function? Player A puts her stuff in an ender chest, but player B opens it and he sees an empty chest. Player B then puts his stuff in it, then player A opens it and sees only her stuff but not player B's stuff.
If I'm wrong about ender chests, then I support this suggestion. Otherwise it's redundant.

Of course, and yes, Ender Chests do that exact job.
I don't think this idea is needed. You can just use an enderchest for this, like most people said. And on most servers, they allow you to use signs that say [Private] on them to protect chests. Or just get a protection plugin that allows you to protect an area, including the chest. So sorry, but...

With four digits there is already 9999 combinations. The idea is to make it possible to guess, mostly relying on the fact that most people will use 1234 or somethig else easy.
We already discussed this. An enderchest is very limited in volume and you can only have one. This solves that problem by creating a balanced alternative.

Have you solved the problem of placable bedrock yet?

Thanks!

Yep. Pretty much.
