I'm making an adventure map, and I don't want my player to have to sit in an inn for a few seconds/ drink a pot to get health. What I want to do is that they press a button and it /heals them for x20 hp (10 hearts.) It's really not that outrageous of an idea, and it could be used in RP places (EX hospital.) Obviously it would be command block/ op~only.
/effect @a[(Arguments go here)] (Effect ID) (Seconds) (Amplifier)
So:
/effect @a[(Arguments go here)] 6 1 5
This will give the player instant health.
Or if you want it to regenerate slowly, like a hot spring, use regeneration (ID 10)
Saturation (ID 23) can also be applied to remove hunger, and any level of resistance (ID 11) above 5 will make the player invincible in an area.
It can be a very basic redstone setup, or more complicated to make it more reliable and controlled.

A hotspring... I'm totally adding that. But TY.
You're welcome.
