They should add a water bar into minecraft just like a food bar but for water.
The way you would refill your water bar would be to find some water and and shift then right clik on it for 15 seconds to fill up your water bar or use a bucket or water bottle. If you were to run out of water you would start to slow down and get Nausea then start to die after 2 minutes.
But this is unclean water if you drink it theirs a 25% you'll get poison for 10 seconds.
To make it clean you would have to put it in a cauldron with fire beneath it and then get it with a bottle.

Effect called dehydration inwhich you would

And the whole "unclean water" thing means that anybody who either doesn't have iron to spare or doesn't want to bother boiling their water has to risk poisoning themselves EVERY TIME they take a drink.
