You know those boring NPCs... boring... boring... boring. A new villager type would be great! It should be called an Elder. He gives you quests that you get for ingots, redstone materials, building materials, etc. When you right click on them, it will pull up a page of about 3 different quests that you can chose from. Ex. Kill 5 Enderman Reward: 5 redstone He has a brown hat with a black robe. When you do a part of a quest, (kill 1 Enderman) it will say in the corner of the screen: Killed 1 out of 5 Enderman! When you're done with a quest it will say: You completed the quest! Return to the Elder! Return to anyElder and right click on the Elder and it will give you the reward.
New Golem: Redstone Golem
Make a T of Redstone Blocks, with a pumpkin on top. It spawns in NPCs. Attack: Hurrling TNT at the mob. Has an animation where he lifts his arms up and throws TNT with both arms from his back. It is as big as the Iron Golem, and its red.
Birds: Right now, only add Blue Jays. Sounds: chirping. You can't kill them. A simaliar trait with the bats, you can scare them, but you can't kill them. They are only decorations.
Villager Voices: Strong men sounds like: "AHH! ZOMBIES!" <-- only at night. "We got a big day ahead of us!" or "Hello Mr. [villager type]!" When a villager talks, their mouth [behind their nose] will move up and down. Well that's it for this suggestion! I hope Mojang accepts some of the additions... or all of them!
1.) There's no need for quests in Minecraft, as this is a sandbox game where players make up their own adventure.
2.) That Redstone Golem is so overpowered. You're copy and pasting the Iron Golem but replacing the iron with redstone blocks and giving him the overpowered ability to throw TNT, which would turn the area around it into smoldering craters. That would make one hell of a griefing tool. No.
3.) Villagers with voice acting would get VERY annoying. You would constantly hear the same dialogue being repeated over and over. It might be passable if it was just chatbox/text dialogue, but not actual audible voice acting.

1. Well, Mojang already messed up and added Bosses and Experience Levels, so why not?
2. I agree! Redstone Golems have been suggested before with a much more logical use...

Uhhh, "messed up"?
2. I agree! Redstone Golems have been suggested before with a much more logical use...
Redstone Golems would be best if they never existed in the game. Regardless of how logical their use is. In fact, no new golems should exist period. We really don't need anymore helper mobs.

I think it would be cool if minecraft added quests, after all... It is an RPG.
And this is a feedback section. I like hearing people`s suggestions. All of them sound very cool and interesting.
1. Well, Mojang already messed up and added Bosses and Experience Levels, so why not?
Errr. They didn't "mess up". It wasn't a mistake. You don't have to fight the Enderdragon or Wither, and you don't have to use experience levels. Those things can't be compared to "quests in Minecraft!"

This point has been raised hundreds of times before:
Just because it's OPTIONAL doesn't mean it automatically fits in with the game.

Fair enough. But there can be a million players who find the Enderdragon and experience orbs just fine and fit perfectly. How do they not fit with the game? Even if they don't "fit", how do they damage the game? What makes the confident bold statement of "Mojang messed up" legit here?

Don;t give us the 'optional' excuse too. Optionality shouldn't be a toggle-based system. Think about it, once you create a world, nothing gameplay-wise can be toggled. Plus, what would happen if it were to be toggled? Would they all disappear?
Anyway, talking villagers would be hard to code and even harder to voice act. How many languages are there supported by Minecraft?
Well, Sorry. That was my fault for calling it an RPG. I just have a weird opinion
I guess you could call it a sandbox like other people are.
i agree with you dude. It is an RPG. And you don't have to do the quests. It's just a quick way of getting good stuff! But, I do think redstone golems might be a little trouble with the villagers. They'll be like " What r u doing killing our babies!?!?"
But I still need a little help on a new helping mob. Because we only have 2 of them and only 1 is actually useful. (Iron golem)
I have seen lots of quest ideas, but this actually fits in Minecraft...ish. I personally am against quests in vanilla, but since this actually is well balanced I will say you did a good job, and I actually support.
Redstone golems are op though, and they really dont add any new aspects to the game. I had a redstone golem idea a while ago, where instead of attacking, it looks for mobs and if it sees a hostile, then it will carry out a set of instructions (Like pull a lever, which could then raise an alarm, close a gate, etc.). I don't like your idea of redstone golems as it is though, since it is op, pointless, destructive, can be used to grief, and doesn't really fit Minecraft.
As of birds, I don't know. I mean they should add birds, but I don't know if it should be exactly like that.
It should be called an Elder. He gives you quests that you get for ingots, redstone materials, building materials, etc. When you right click on them, it will pull up a page of about 3 different quests that you can chose from.
Ex. Kill 5 Enderman
Reward: 5 redstone
He has a brown hat with a black robe. When you do a part of a quest, (kill 1 Enderman) it will say in the corner of the screen: Killed 1 out of 5 Enderman!
When you're done with a quest it will say: You completed the quest! Return to the Elder!
Return to any Elder and right click on the Elder and it will give you the reward.

I myself have never seen an idea for quests, and I thought that was pretty cool.

Not even close, buddy.
Not even close.

No, it isn't.
No, no it's not, and it will never be, no matter how hard Mojang tries to make it one.

I'm neutral on villager noises.
