I support this. It would be nice to have some variety in armor. Maybe there could be a recipe to make dyeable armor where you take the armor and add some leather to it. That way leather would still have a use.
I'd like a strip on different armors, would make them look a little unique allowing people to personalize their gear. I also find it funny people are complaining about necro bumping, when almost every single time people post new topics almost every thread is full of people posting links to old threads.
but minecraft isn't realistic, and you use leather armor when you don't have iron armor!
Have you ever, really be honest now, ever used leather armor before iron armor becouse you got it earlyer? Really, it's way easyer to get 24 iron than 24 leather ...

Ha, I was about to say the same thing. If you make a new thread, people complain. If you use an old thread, people complain...
Anyway, on topic, I have no problem with allowing dyed armor. Let people have fun however they want is my motto. I think Mojang would have roughly 54.7% less suggestions if they just used universal code for all items in the game to allow for easy dying - from wool to armor to beds. Whatever.

Yes, when i find my first mine in a new world i first use the iron for my bucket and pickaxe... I won't have that much iron, and I need something to do with my leather and empty iron spaces.
I Completely agree with this, diamond armour looks dumb, but i think it could be done in a new way.
Bejewelled Armour: This armour would have a completely different look than any of the other armours, so it looks Majestic, and the default look would be blue like diamond armour, with green "Jewels" encrusted into it (Aka Emeralds, gives them a good use). This armour would be slightly better than diamond armour, and Both the armour and the jewels are colour custom (place the bejewelled armour in crafting table, dye on the left for armour colour, dye on the right for Jewel colour). Because it has a different shape than other armours, people can tell it apart and people will know that those guys are not noobs.
Have you ever mixed a powdered drink like Kool-Aid or Crystal Light with a spoon? Did you notice how the metal spoon wasn't red or brown? Yeah me too. Leather can only be dyed. #disapprove.
That, sir, was one of the awesomest things I have ever read.
But the point in this thread is dying other armor because when you dye leather you have brown remains
