What is teleportation sickness? It's a potion effect that causes you to randomly teleport every couple of seconds. This is considered a negative potion effect, as you have no control over when or where you will teleport. Thankfully, the teleportation has the same restrictions that are applied to when endermen teleport, which means if your afflicted by the sickness, you won't suddenly find yourself in cave many blocks beneath the ground, surrounded by lava. You also don't teleport very far, only up to about 16 blocks.
The effect is gained when drinking a it's corresponding potion, which is obtained by brewing an awkward potion with an enderpearl. It is far more advisable however, to brew this into a splash potion, and throw it at your enemies. Endermen are of course immune to the potion's effects.
Any hostile mob (or player) will begin randomly teleporting around the nearby area. Mobs won't be able to attack if they can't even get near you (excluding the skeleton of course), but you won't really be able to attack them either, considering their always teleporting out of reach. So the potion is quite effective, but comes with the price of not gaining any loot.
The potion can also serve as a way to buy time when your beginning to lose a battle. If your health is low, you can hit your opponent with a TS potion, and use the time they're afflicted by the potion to eat some food and restore your health.

I think that we should get Ender Dust by grinding an enderpearl on a crafting table, and brew that into the potion. It seems like a good potion, and a nice idea for a combat utility.

Your idea seems reasonable. How much ender dust do you think is fair to get from a single enderpearl? I'd say two would be a fine number. It would also be nice if you could smelt the dust back into enderpearls.

Two ender dust sounds good, but wouldn't that smelt back into 2 pearls, which is 4 dust, which is actually 8 dust?
How about surrounding one ender dust with glass?

Darn, didn't realise that it would cause it to multiply. Eh, it really doesn't have to be converted back. Atleast, not until I figure out some other way of doing it.
