Excuse me if this idea has popped up a bunch of times. I'll admit I'm rather lazy to look around the boards for a similar one atm.
Anyways, the idea is similar to that of the Transmutation Tablet/Energy Condenser in Equivalent Exchange just more simplistic and not so mod heavy. Say you want more diamonds and you're loaded with other stuff. Or you just find something like this...
Well, using some Diamonds, Glowstone, a simple ol' Crafting Bench, and a well earned Nether Star gives this:
(Of course I have no clue what this would look like, it's merely an idea right now.)
By putting in something you want more of on the right and placing items you're willing to exchange for the before mentioned item on the left, you can make more of the item on the right at the cost of those on the left. Nearly every item/material/etc. will have a value and the left side of the table adds up these values and if you have enough to equal the value on the right, you can take more.
Example above. Say diamonds are worth a value of 15, gold is worth 1, and emeralds are worth 3. 3 emerald + 6 gold = 1 diamond (9+6=15)
Thoughts? Also I'm sure the process of equivalent exchange is simple for most. I included the example just to makes things clearer.
A bit stupid and useless, I don't see the point of adding this.
Actually it's kind of the opposite of useless. In fact, it would break the game.
Grind away at a cobble generator for a bit and you get any item you want as long as you already have one. I don't care how much it costs, that is too overpowered.
