How about some enchantment suggestions for Mojang? There are tons of suggestions for enchantments out there! Like for example:
Stun: Bow, sword
Stuns for 1 second, adds 1 second every level until level 5.
But one thing, only a 35 percent chance to stun. At level 5. 10 percent level 1.
Thats how you should make the outline for the enchantment. Ill add more to this topic as I think of them.
This feels more like a suggestion tutorial than an actual idea.
Also there are other enchantment suggestion threads out there. Though to be honest I would never use them myself. Most of those enchantment ideas are just awful.
I would use stun however.
Would Stun cease Mob movement completely? Or would skeletons still fire and would creepers still explode?
I'm all for more enchantments, but adding more options reduces the probability of getting one I need. Adding the stun enchantment means it is less likely for me to get the looting enchantment, as all enchantments are random. If there were a way to choose your enchantment then we could really open up possibilities.
If you could choose you're enchantment, then enchanting would have to be more difficult. A quick idea I have is to just add a secondary ingredient to enchanting, such as a gem. Enchantments would take a gem, and then some levels. But then we would still need a decent way to choose the enchantment, which is tough since there are so many possibilities...
But here's an enchantment:
Multi-purpose: All tools
Description: Can mine any block without a penalty to durability usage (You could use a pickaxe to mine dirt for example, and it would count as 1 use)

Stun would make so they can't move, like walk.
Blast: Bow
Makes a blast area for the bow's damage. +1 block wider for each level. Up to level 4.
However, each level reduces the bow's damage by a half a heart. So a fully charged bow shot (which does 5 1/2 hearts) with blast 4 would do 3 1/2 hearts of damage. Maybe less if seems overpowered.
