I was thinking a floating islands world type. Large islands float at about y=128 and can have multiple biomes and caverns. There can be smaller one biome islands floating at various heights. Mushroom biomes only occur rarely on these one biome islands. Then there can also be small under islands that are in the shadow of the islands above and so contain many hostile mobs but also diamonds and other rare ores.

I like that idea. Maybe someone could make mod that would add that.
It would be just like alpha with infinite snow and less mobs would spawn
Next, they should add finite maps for slow computers
And lastly, A mountain world type
it would be very hilly and Extreme Hills would be 25% more common
