ingame look: wall piano; (x, y, z) = (2, 1, 2)
-Opens up "melody menu" by right-clicking
-Has much less keys than a common piano; possibly as much as the note block (13 notes, 2 octaves)
-Controls: q to p* would play "black" notes, a to p* would play "white" notes
*Just specifying which rows, but not necessarily all those keys
-The player could use it to write music sheets on paper. Since this idea would be a little complicated, I won't get in details
-Maybe, the player would stand on a specific position when using it, and only 1 could use at time (just like a bed)
This seems like a really, REALLY useless and complicated thing to even try to implement, let alone it is set for a very specific group of people who actually have the musical talent to play piano.
And if you won't get into details, why would you even suggest it?
Besides couldn't you make a piano with buttons leading to a single note block anyway?
Plus some people don't have the talent to play one so a Redstone Music player is better. They can have many instruments, be timed perfectly and require (almost) no practice.

This is a signature. There should be something here....
Oh wait! There is!
I'd like to amend the suggestion.
Take out the Wall Buttons and add three more Wooden Planks.
= Note Block.
Like Note Blocks, Pianos are used to play music if it is used. However, the main difference between Pianos and Note Blocks is that Pianos don't occupy a big-ass space and is a nice addition to a house's decor. It works by recording a certain array of notes the Player enters in its own special GUI, and can only play one saved "song" (this means you have to either make a lot of Pianos or edit the song in the Piano.
Well, I don't like Pianos to replace Note Blocks, so Pianos can only sound like a Piano (well, duh) and it can only record a certain number of notes.

This can also be applied to the Book Writing system, which is supposed to be redundant to the already-existing multiplayer chat and, in a lesser extent, the usage of Signs to communicate.
I play the piano and think this is brilliant. Even people who can't could just mess around and playing it on a keyboard isn't anything like a real one so it would just be for fun. Even a placeholder of a block would be awesome.
Note blocks are equally useless for all you complainers.

Get in details about that specific feature; the whole idea of a piano could be bad and I'd waste time writing about writing music
Then why suggest it in the first place?
Because it is part of what couldbe done ith a piano
