1.a "Throne" with the golem on it, beside it 2 chests, if they are opened, the golem wakes up and stands, AND TRIES TO KILL YA !
2.Golden Golem head
3.it should also have little minions that ONLY KILL MONSTERS ! AND WILL NEVER HARM A PLAYER ! just like snow golems.
4.why not add a golem for the jungle temples too ?

2. Good idea. You could use it as a trophy or put it on your wall or something.

4. Ok, I guess, but jungle temples will have to get more loot for it to be worth fighting a golem for.
5. That's stupid, why would a golem have spawn eggs? Also spawn eggs are supposed to only be in creative.

TOPIC HAS BEEN REFURBISHED! Check out the new content! I decided to give it one last go here on the forums.

All golems that I am aware of are free to wander, which, can occasionally be bad. Nothing is more irritating then having an iron golem wander to the empty part of the village while zombies eat the villagers at the other end.This gets to be more of an issue the larger the village is.
A golem that is tied to a specific area is needed, and a gold golem could fit that bill.
So, I'm obviously in favor of the golem being craftable. Needing to construct something around the area that the golem would be active would be a good requirement, but a block that is obvious and specific to the gold golem wouldn't be a bad idea either.
The next thing that does need a little tweaking is the trigger for aggression. If a gold golem is aggressive simply because you're in their pyramid, then that aggression should extend to everyone and every thing in their pyramid because that's the story tied to this thing.
If they are supposed to be that aggressive, then there needs to be a way to toggle that aggression or to direct it.
Redstone current could be used to this effect. Trapped chests generate redstone current. If a trapped chest was placed on top of a block that, when powered, controlled who or what the golem considered an enemy, then it'd be easy to direct their aggression: Any one in the pyramid during the time of the redstone pulse is a target of the gold golem.
It would also help fit the idea of an ancient golem guarding it's treasure.
I have some other ideas about this one, but that's the basics.

Oh, I would love to hear more. Fresh ideas are welcome. This thread is two years old after all, and I've not managed it or incorporated new features YET. But soon I will. And it will be awesome.
i would suggest that you let the golemsbe craftable, but when you place the golem, it will just stand there like a statue, since you don't know how to make a brain for them.

It looks cool but it should have 4 small arms instead of 2 maul arms like the iron golem has. The gold golem is too much like an iron golem with another skin.
Sorry but I just can't support this yet, you can say that the gold golem isn't an iron golem but it still looks like one. everybody who suggests a new golem chooses the iron golem skin instead of creating a completely new golem. Its the same with portals, people who create new dimensions in mods always choose the nether portal way to make a portal to the new dimension, its easy I know, but it gets so dull after a while.
The snow golem looks very different from the iron golem, the End portal looks very different from the Nether portal.
2 of his 4 arms would be below his chest, the other 2 would be where his arms are right now. If this sounds like a horrible idea, how about a large third eye in his chest? It opens when he's activated. The eye is his weak spot, you'll deal double damage when you hit his third eye instead of another part of its body. It has a load of hitpoints so I suppose it wouldn't ruin your concept. Just do something to make it look way more original from the iron golem.
This is a genius idea, however I see one flaw in it. A lot of people will probably just ignore desert temples they find because the loot isn't too good. The reason people choose to go into desert temples instead of mining when they see one is because it is free loot. The Golden Golem needs to have a special drop you can only get from it. I'm not sure what it should be exactly, but it needs one.

Yeah, either option A or B should be added to fix this:
A. An ability should be added so it can break all blocks placed by the player.
B. The Golden Golem slowly sucks the player into it so the player cannot run away (this also makes it so the player can't run away to heal)

Speak for yourself. I couldn't get near a temple with full enchanted diamond armor because the dozens of guardians would tear me to shreds in seconds. If you had only a handful of them present, then you just got lucky.
I cannot support this until bugs like I mentioned above are fixed. It'll be hard enough for me to get past a horde of guardians; I don't need a golem to make things even more difficult.

Also, all I need is an horse and a bow with arrows, then go near it, escape and shoot back at it, then go near again. Also, I can create a trap: I pillar up, then place a chest, then shoot down at it, and when it goes inactive, open the chest to force it out of hibernation. And if I can lure it far enough, it will take times to return to the pyramid and I can shoot it down on it return.

I believe you are confused, sir. This thread means the desert temples, not the ocean monuments, plus the thread was made a few years back. Mojang's Guardians are plenty of power for what they are for. Now if only we could get something for desert temples.
