Thats your problem and has nothing to do with not liking the idea.
Why would the ABANDONED pyramid have a guardian? Gold, which apparently the golem is made out of, has a very high(for a metal) melting point.
You said High Melting point, way to shoot yourself in the foot before you began.
In the heat of a desert, especially in a stuffy pyramid, it would melt long before it could "guard" the pyramid.
Since WHEN does heat have ANYTHING to do with MineCraft??? Also, you don't see the gold statues in egypt (Out in the heat 24-7) Melted do you? Your statement is invalid.
As for actual gameplay, simply shoot with a bow until the golem is dead.
Perhaps if you took the time to READ the damn thread you would have seen the Inactive bitty. Making it impervious to damage whilst you are not in the golem's reach (Place the golem can get to you. along with this it stands where it is like a statue"
If you don't understand yet, no support.
If you don't understand yet, your entire argument was countering itself and you made a fool of yourself before you even began.

You do realize that when inactive it cant be damaged.before you criticize you should make you see everything.
Edit:And also note that you can place gold right next to lava and nothing happens.
ROFL when active Gold Golem's mouth loks like DRAWER XXXXDDDDDD
It means it can suck dropped items and... heal
And no, if you mine on wool of pyramids and fall you will probably turn on TNT. Better they guard Jungle Temples as they are relatively easy to cover without damage. Or both of course.
If it guards jungle temple or jungle temple and pyramid i would support

Yeah, I agree all the attention whoring was unnecessary, but the rest of your post is trash.
Grammar issues don't reflect on the idea itself, and anyone who judges an idea based on grammar needs to remember not everyone is a college-level, primarily English-speaking gentleman who studies ELA in his spare time. Some of us speak English as a secondary language, some of us are still in grade school, etc.
Why does the moon have a guardian dragon? Why do abandoned hell fortresses have guardians? For that matter, how the hell does an armless villager make an iron golem that guards its village?
You idiot. Gold has a melting point of 1947.5 °F. If the desert ever got THAT hot, Steve would die instantly just being near it. Not to mention all the sand would melt into a glass-like substance, cactus would never be able to exist, and all the water would evaporate.
He already addressed the ranged attack problem, read the post again if you missed that.

Great... A mob that randomly attacks players for no reason, and adds an enemy to a simple temple. Also, why couldn't it be crafted by the player, iron golems can, and why not replicate that in gold? Also, it is suppost to kill theives, but saying players are theives is wrong. Many a time, I have made a home early-game in a pyramid. No support.

Damn! This is a great idea! Fits perfectly in the Vanilla game!!! Full Support!!!
Also, i don't think Desert Temples deserve a protector more than the Jungle Temple... Maybe you can think on something for it too?

Wow, you didn't read the post at all. Thanks for not even understand how Pyramids work. They hold lots of things that are very overpowered for players to have in the early game, and don't protect them well enough. Second, this thing is a mini-boss to protect loots that could ruin a game at a certain point, exactly like the Wither and Dragon. And why should it be able to be crafted just because the iron golem can? Let's disregard the fact that players taking a pyramids treasure IS THIEVING and ignore the fact that you supposedly made a lot of homes in pyramids when they are one of the rarest structures and the resources you need for survival would probably not even be close......So you don't have any reasons except your just too lazy to read the whole OP and bad some really bad assumptions. Oh and last, Only people who are attention hogs underline their main point after stating it dozens of times before it,

Protect loots? Like rotten flesh, bones, and small amounts of iron, gold, and emeralds? That's cheap loot. And, of course, I read the entire post. And if they're so rare, and o early game player can make a home in it, why do we have to add ore difficulty to them. Plus, I don't even look for the treasure when I go there, I like to make a wall around it so creepers don't blow it up. Also, I didn;t underline my "main point", I wanted to show I had no support, beacuase some people might (somehow) think this means support.

Agreed.
BTW- This says pyramids are too easy to steal from, but aren't villages too? Why don't iron golems just go ahead and kill us all, beacause they THINK we will rob them. Plus, why would an abandoned pyramid be guarded? Why not abandoned mineshafts, or abandoned wells? Again, they are called desert temples. Why would a golem try to immediately kill you when you set foot in a temple. One of these:
A temple (from the Latin word templum) is a structure reserved for religious or spiritual activities, such as prayer and sacrifice, or analogous rites. A templum constituted a sacred precinct as defined by a priest, or augur.

So let's get this straight. 1, you think gold and emerald aren't overpowered for early in the game. 2, you underline a hate post's main point in case people don't understand it's a hate post. 3, you build a wall around a pyramid because that's the only place you can build a wall? 4, your saying that because something is abandon, there shouldn't be a foe there (please watch any movie that's even slightly PG-13 and not Twilight before you remark on that). 5, you are trying to bring religious realism into an argument about a feature for a FANTASY sandbox game. If you think that quoting Latin makes you smart and right, let me quote the dictionary:
Idiot: A person who attempts to do an action over again in the exact same manner and expects a different result
Seemingly, you just re-posted everything you said in your first post, and the few points you made to counter everyone's were some of the biggest contradictions I've seen in my life. Not sure why there's so much ego fighting and hate posts.... but regardless this idea is gold! (No pun intended) If they were to do this though, they'd also have to make a jungle temple golem... made of mossy cobble perhaps?
Yeah i agree with Mossy Cobblestone golems for Jungle Temples, traps are not enough are they? They can behave the same way or have other interesting perks, but it is not fair that only Desert Temples have a guardian
Yeah i agree with Mossy Cobblestone golems for Jungle Temples, traps are not enough are they?
I personally think the traps in jungle temples are enough, You don't see any movies where statues come to life to kill you in a jungle temple......... except for tomb raider.... never mind, point invalidated....
They can behave the same way or have other interesting perks, but it is not fair that only Desert Temples have a guardian
I suppose i could make another mob..... perhaps stone sword wielding mossy pigman statues that line the entry and get mad when you open a chest or hit them. because the way i see it, Pigmen made the temples =p
(See Pigman Jungle Village Thread, If you cannot find it, i will repost it)
There ya have it.
