I should write a book on that, "The Rage of the Criticizers".
I will outsell that book, titled, "The Stupid Choice The Mods Made".

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
So because you hate these suggestions they deserve no consideration? Interesting
Before Therasis listed the Inferior and Generally hated Suggestion, she stated that SOME of these suggestions can be made good (Keyword: Some). It's just that these suggestions have been ridiculously overused and have lost their reputation because of their reasons given within the inferior suggestions. However, you can make a inferior suggestion 'good', as there are a few. There is the popular "What about Muskets?" Suggestion that's in the hall of fame. And my "Temporary Cape" suggestion that received a number of supports. There is also the "Give us a use!" Suggestion, also in the hall of fame.
So all in all, you can make a inferior suggestion good, but it depends on how well you make it good and what type of inferior suggestion you're using. But if it follows what's listed that makes them bad, well you know what happens to the rest.
So because you hate these suggestions they deserve no consideration? Interesting
You probably should have read the subtitle to that section more carefully, as well as the actual entries in that section to understand it better...

The argument here is that most suggestions can be rendered good with a thimble of effort.
Your average critic (self included) won't expect you to put any more effort into a suggestion than they would. Try to make a suggestion worth our time and we'll try to make it worth yours.
Does anyone know any tips on how to copy a lengthy wall o' text from Google docs to a suggestion post on the forums?
The formatting gets all screwed up.
I have been working on a suggestion for a few weeks now, and I'm ready to submit it. However, I've been doing it in Google Docs. And When I copy it into the "Submit a suggestion" thingy, all the pictures i worked on are gone, the bullet points and numbering is all garbled, all that nice indentation is messed up.....
I might just have to rise up and Manually reformat the post and re upload all the pictures, but I'm Super lazy.....

From my experience, copy/pasting from stuff like word, notepad, or other document files always messes up the formatting. Nothing much you can do except, as you said, manually reformat the text.

If the pictures are a problem, remove them from your Doc, and submit them into Imgur. Then once you have them, upload the pictures where you want to post them. For broken bullet points, try not setting what you want into bullet points and do that within the Forums instead. At least that's how I did when making my Roleplay characters in the Roleplay section and it turned out fine.
I know how awesome and well put together this thread is, but unfortunately there are some pretty lazy critics out there (and they tend to be the bad ones). So maybe some summaries would help all those people who keep disregarding these amazing guidelines? Either way people should read the whole thing though.
Also, are we allowed to nominate threads for the hall of fame in here? If so, thisthread has some incredible detail, and is basically just awesome. If we can't nominate them on here, I'll just delete this little bit on the end of the thread

You know how you have a thread hall of fame? You should make a thread hall of lame (I am way too proud of myself for coming up with that one) with bad suggestions that are good examples of what not to do (and perhaps point out why). If you do this, you probably shouldn't call it that, as it might be a bit offensive. In fact, labeling suggestions like that in a specifc section might not be very nice, but I think it could really help the thread if you do it in a way that doesn't break any rules and isn't mean.
That hall would pretty much be endless.
And if not, members will create the most cringeworthy threads just to get their name on it.

That would be the longest list ever created by a mortal, and it would also suck to be one of the nice guys to get a perma stamp of shame like that, though some deserve it, it would still be a bit much. However, there are users who are mentioned and nailed to the cross in the guide...

That reminds me, what you're saying is true, but I'd stay away from making posts like this...
Thanks cerroz, you're one of the #1 "always say sno, shooting down suggestions omg" critics
Unless you were joking or you two were playing some sort of game then forget I mentioned it, it's just that I've seen people create flamewars like that where both parties got banned/warned/whatever.
Yeah that was intended as a joke, due to the incredible amount of people who recently have been saying stuff like that. And like 6 have said it to cerroz xD but yeah I understand that Cerroz is an amazing critic, and an amazing suggested too! He's got his desert zombie suggestion thing in the hall of game after all.

never vague on thread, if everyone avoid it, you must avoid it too. you know, rules are rules, if you violate it, you know the consequence.
It's....not a rule anymore (sadly) I said that right above. The only consequence you would face is the rage of the criticizers.
I should write a book on that, "The Rage of the Criticizers".

such decent titles, I bet that's gonna be a best-seller.

i will create it too, it will be named 'Suggesting: what you must and musn't"
