Hello, with the addition of upside down stairs and slabs, I think first of all, minecarts should be able to be placed on stairs, and have an 'angle' when they are. The second thing is that they should be placeable upside down, and also sideways (Up walls) to allow LOOP DA LOOPS. However, the minecart would lose speed fast while going on a diagonal angle upside down or directly up, so the LOOP DA LOOP would need to be made of booster rails or an alternative Furnace Cart shoving you.. Another problem: Derailing! To prevent this the player would need to craft Iron Rails, simply replace the stick with another iron ingot, again 16 per craft. It looks like, um... Iron
Now for the actual minecart upgrade. Tired of your toy train falling apart and scattering all over the place? Want to ride in a proper train without all of the stupid clanging around? Has your storagecart fallen into lava because the furnacecart bumped it? If you answered 'Hell Yes!' to any of these questions, get a connector! Simply craft a compass without the redstone and you get a chain link, 8 per craft. You can make chainmail armour out of this or you could make a minecart train. Place a chain link on a minecart and a metal thingy will appear on the side it was placed on. This will link the minecart with the next minecart it hits in that direction. Now, that minecart will get pushed, pulled, boosted etc with the other minecart. A maximum of 8 links (That means 9 carts) can be made in each individual train to prevent lag. Links will break if
-A cart is destroyed
-The link is hit with anything from a snowball to a diamond sword
-The train suddenly stops, causing sudden impact and breaking stuff.
-The player right-clicks it, then it will drop itself because it is not wrecked.
