I think a good addition to Minecraft would be the ability for dispensers to apply items onto blocks. This would make for a (perhaps expensive), but stream lined way to farm. Dispensers may not work properly with that sort of addition, so perhaps adding a new sort of block called a planter would be better.
In theory, a dispenser could apply Bone Meal upon a seed/sugarcane and produce it to its harvest able point. When used in combination with pistons, water, or other collection methods what is created is a low-maintenance, high cost end game food source.
Taking the idea one step further would to allow the dispenser to also apply seeds to prepared soil, but one step at a time.
Any thoughts on the idea? Is it too much work for too little reward?
That would be cool... If this were true maybe the bonemeal would shoot out like an arrow and when it comes into contact with the crops they grow. What about dyes? Maybe they would shoot out and when they come into contanct with sheep, they get dyed. Much more fun then right clicking though.

What did you think I meant?
