It's a small idea that is probably meaningless to most people. But I wanted your take on replacing the few layers of netherrack at the top of the Nether (by bedrock not the cavern you spawn in >.<) with lava. It would be like you're under the mantle of the planet. I think it would be a small way to enchance the Nether experience and make it slightly better.

Umm no, there's netherack between the top of the nether ceiling and the place where the nether caverns spawn. I don't think open bedrock occurs that often in the Nether.

I don't think you thought things through.
But the generation wouldn't always generate all the netherrack - it's impossible. If there was lava there, the number of lavafalls would increase a lot, and that wouldn't be good.
I mean if it did it would only make awesome lavafalls. I don't see much wrong at all with adding lava above. It just makes the Nether more dangerous, and removes encountering bedrock which looks out of place in the Nether. It's just not going to be solid bedrock and then instantly netherrack.
A netherlike place would need to be surrounded by lava in order to get the nether like stone. It only makes sense. How did the stone get down there to become netherrack? The bedrock didn't form into it did it?
And it wouldn't increase them a whole lot, because exposed bedrock is generally rare. I've never seen it before. I've always had to dig up quite a bit before I reached it.
We could start telling people to never dig up.

You didn't really think this through, did you?
