Have you ever wanted to get banged by a sheep? Or wanted to breed without the waste of bonemeal and wheat? Well then, why not add the Love Potion to your life? Of course, this is only a suggestion, but a suggestion might be all you need to get something done. Now, in this post, ill introduce two possible potions for Minecraft. Both of them benefit you (Or at least one of em does, unless you are really weird, then the second too) Lets start with the Love Potion!
The Love Potion simply functions as Wheat. When its splashed onto a group of animals (Drinking does nothing) it will make them enter "Love Mode" and breed with each other. The Potions affects last as long until two animals breed, then their "Love Mode" ends, like normal wheat would. Now there are a few things to the potions that help. Ill show them now:
Redstone - (Nothing, Lasts as long until the animals breed)
Tier I - Nothing
Tier II - Nothing
Glowstone - (Something, Increases radius of animals that enter "Love Mode")
Tier I - Medium (Slightly Larger Then Original)
Tier II - Large (Slightly Larger THen Medium)
Now, thats the Love Potions details and upgrades, now, to make it, youll need to do the following process: (NOTE! All details above only work for splash! Non-Splash have no affect what so ever!)
1. Make a Brewing Stand
2. Get (And Fill) Glass Bottles With Water
3. Get A Nether Wart And Brew Into Water With Stand
4. Get A Rose And Brew Into Awkward Potion With Stand
5. (Optional) Add Upgrades
6. Add Gunpowder (Unless you want no affect)
7. Throw em at whatever group of animals you want! (This potion does not garentee your situation with noise will improve)
Thats the Love Potion, now, lets introduce you to potion two!
The Lure Potion! Lure Potion does simply what it says, when thrown, it makes any nearby group of animals crawl to that point, when drank, it will make any nearby animals crowd you for a certain amount of time. Heres some details on when its upgraded:
Redstone - (Useful when Drank)
Tier I - Increases Time To 45 Seconds (From 30 Seconds Original)
Tier II - Increases TIme To 60 Seconds (1 Minute, From 45 Seconds Tier I)
Glowstone - (Useful when Splash)
Tier I - Increases Radius Of Attracted Animals Slightly Larger From Original
Tier II - Increases Radius Of Attracted Animals Slightly Larger From Tier I
Now, thats the Lure Potions details and upgrades, now, to make it, youll need to do the following process: (NOTE! The Details Of Redstone Above Only Help Drank, And Glowstone Only Help Splash, Vice Versa Does Nothing For Them!)
1. Make a Brewing Stand
2. Get (And Fill) Glass Bottles With Water
3. Get A Nether Wart And Brew Into Water With Stand
4. Get A Wheat And Brew Into Awkward Potion With Stand
5. (Optional) Add Upgrades
6. (Optional) Add Gunpowder
7. Splash - Throw It And Watch The Animals Herd! (Useful for Pig Riders!)
Drank - Drink It And Watch The Animals Do Their Thing! (On you of course)
How about we try to get this POPULAR sticker? I think we can considering All Dem Dimensions got it in about 2 days.
I think the lure potion should have a higher range than the love potion because the love potion is more powerful, imo.
I see what you mean, But getting enough animals herded into one spot is hard enough isnt it? But then again, these potions would collaborate pretty well. Lure animals onto you, then throw a love potion down before your feet, and you got a orgy frenzy going on :l
[p]My idea for love potion: [/p]
Part 1. Introduction: A love potion would basically be in 2 forms. A normal potion, and a splash potion form. I’ll go into detail on the normal potion form first. [/p]
Part 2. Potion form: The normal potion would give the player two buffs. Strength 1, and regeneration 2. The heart particles that come out when you breed 2 mobs would also float around the player. [/p]
Part 3. Splash potion: a splash potion form could be used on any type of mob except for passive mobs. Although when used on a passive mob, it would give them regeneration 2 like it does to the player. But when used on a hostile or neutral mob, said mob would fight by the player’s side for 1 minute. If thrown correctly, the effect could be used on multiple mobs at once. It would sort of work like the artifact from Minecraft dungeons that I think is called the love gauntlet. That artifact makes mobs fight by your side for about 30 seconds I think. [/p]
Part 4. Crafting: Because of the amazing and overpowered effects, the love potion would have to be crafted with hard to get materials. (To the average player) I think that you could add a ghast tear to a strength potion to make a mystery potion. Then you could add a fermented spider eye to create the love potion. The mystery potion would have no effects. This crafting was not the most optimized, so give your ideas in the comments. [/p]
Anyways, that was my idea for Minecraft. I would love to see it implemented! [/p]
I like the ideas- though I think there could be some tweaking. The recipes and specifics aren't that important to me- though balancing is, of course, important, I prefer to focus on larger concepts. That being said, it's clear you put a lot of thought into balancing.
Namely, love and lure potions could be more generalized. A love potion, when drank, could cause the player to attract passive mobs- when thrown, would cause target player to attract passive mobs, (Which could make for a rather unorthodox weapon), cause passive mobs to enter love mode, or temporarily neutralize most hostile mobs. (Excluding mobs like endermen, which are provoked by projectiles- or iron golems, which are mechanical, and already neutral besides.
The Lure potion on the other hand, could be applied to hostile mobs instead of passive mobs, if the love potion could be used for both attraction and breeding. That is, drinking the lure potion or throwing it at an enemy player would attract hostiles in a larger radius, and increase the odds of hostiles spawning nearby in slightly higher light levels. The potion would thus be helpful for mob farms, as well as to simply attract more hostiles, and could also be used as a means of distracting hostiles, and getting them to attack a different target in a pinch.

Thank you! Please Support!
Thanks for the feedback!

I also had an idea for an Herbicide Potion and a Pesticide Potion...but I'll make a separate topic for those. :wink.gif:
Thanks For The Feedback! I had to remake the post since I accidently backed out before I could hit Post :l
