Water in this formation grows to filll the #sign. Then the # signs grow. Breaking this breaks "infinite waterpools" and filling pools with diagonal lines of water. Water in MC "grows" when blocks of water are diagonally adjacent.

You can use this to quickly raise the water level of "Extreme hills" dry river beds and sort of make rivers.
FYI: After one iteration, the water will then expand to the ? before stopping. I.e. you can't have curved or diagonal waterfalls. You can only have straight waterfalls: North, South, East, West and concave waterfalls with straight sides. No curved or convex waterfalls.
I agree, however I think the shape of it should be a bit different (Very small caves under where it goes, rocks and bumps on the way down etc) However, I also think this could be a possible pain to travel, considering if you are riding a boat and fall down one, potentially dangerous.

Well, I think I found what I'LL be in the after life. <3 Goats for life.
I support, however only with small, natural looking waterfalls. The one in the picture is too big and is UGLY because of the neatness and wideness of it.
Both big and small so it would vary and not just be really big ones or small ones. Also like the idea you came up with. The only problem i see is that it could lag.
I support small water falls maximum 20 blocks tall. Also, they shouldnt be perfectly flat at the bottom, with rocks perhaps, and amybe caves behind. Also, they can be flat against stone, or tucked into tall pillars, mostly hidden from view. Basically, I want alot of variation. I think the big water falls would be ok, but should be very rare, or a different type. If Salmon was added as a mob, it would go perfect with these
The giant waterfalls as mentioned in the picture would slow the game down. People with puny machines want to be able to just play the game without their already bad lag getting worse after approaching a waterfall. A smaller waterfall consisting of 1-20 streams falling would be okay. But then again, people can easily just build a waterfall. All you need to do is shove a pond off a cliff
Partial Support (i will try provide a screenshot of what i mean by "1-20 streams")
Thats pretty epic. So many choises where to make your house.
This DOES open up a new house location choice! Imagine a house hanging off the side of that wall of water! Or hidden behind it?! This is a very exciting suggestion with quite a bit of potential. Full support!
This suggestion has my support
