honestly having a larger boat with a sail or a motor would make it easier and faster to travel the oceans and river and would also make it easier to transport your items and resources.
He's only saying this because the boats as of right now just look boring. Sure they do the job, but the point of what he's making is adding variety.
Not really sure why people are bashing this down but there is definitely a couple mods out there for boats.
I personally would like it if there was different variety of boats from small to large and could even customize those boats for further personal looks. Same with the minecarts, and trains. Right now everything looks great if you build houses, towns, castles etc. but what about the misc. stuff like boats, minecarts, doors, gates, etc.
Then again, I'm not expecting any of this to be added to the vanilla...unfortunately they say it can't be added >_>
How about just adding something like the zeppelin mod into minecraft.
I second this. The Zeppelin mod is amazing, and something like that would fit perfectly into the game. It adds a lot of possibilities in a single concept.
Boats would be really useful if you could costume design them so you can add a bunch of chests or storage so you can move your whole house to a brand new land.
Why have bigger, clunky-looking ugly ones that just go a little faster?
