Well, I wasn't saying anything against your or his project.
Just wanted to show that the designs are similar, not the ways they work.
I think that somebody who suggested it on your forum based the design on this project while just looking at random mods on this forum. You should at least ask the guy who suggested it on your forum, if he really based it on the other guy's project.
It was most likely purely coincidental. We were discussing lodestone as a possible addition to the game. I suggested using magnets in redstone devices in some way. And we were discussing piston "Upgrades" as well.
It was only natural that someone would come up with the idea for a "Magnetic piston".
The 2 ideas a similar in name only, other than that they are completely different. I'm the one who further refined the idea, and I've haven't even seen that mod until now. I never really go on the modding forum anyway.
Clouds made from special blocks which you can walk over and sticks made of gold where you can break a cloud block with so it becomes an air sword which has a huge durabillity.
Structures: Airships and cloud city`s with angels as citizens which you can only hit with an air sword. Angels will have air sword to defend themselves. Angels will only attack if you attack them first and if you attack one all angels in a reach of 50 blocks will attack you.

This are some ideas for a new dimension but there could be added more things i think.

As Edo said, our dimensions are already set in stone. But some of your ideas(the airships in particular) might fit nicely in our current sky dimension, The Zenith
the only dimension i want is the skylands. it should be a reward from beating the enderdragon. maybe the egg is a key to a door, gateway, or portal? dunno >_>.
the water dimension sounds cool. maybe there would be ocean temples, which would be big cobblestone pyramids in the ocean where all is submerged but the top , where a static portal is. to activate, you must fill the center with water source blocks, then jump in. it spawns on an island, and the world around you is infinite ocean with islands. maybe the sharks people have been wanting swim in the waters, and water shrines would spawn and act as a dungeon. the trees would be jungle, and would drop coconuts along with cocoa beans in 1.3. it would drop jungle saplings, and can be grown in the overworld, but wont drop coconuts. maybe coconut milk could be made in a bowl like mushy stew?
also, maybe a forest clearing could be a new structure with old huts, teepees, fires, and other indian stuff. in the middles is a hole in the earth, and during a full moon, the hole turns into a portal into a forest dimension. you can exit the forest dimension anytime. the trees would be much bigger with branches, and maybe giant trees would spawn that where thick and big. pretty much the overworld, but an infinite forest of giant trees.
a desert dimension could be cool, too. maybe desert ruins could spawn with a portal made of a special sandstone only found there. it could spawn a dimension of infinite desert, without big hills. it would be more duney, and it might have oasis's with jungle trees and water. the caves would have sand and sandstone, and maybe quicksand pits could spawn.
in these worlds, maybe temples or something could spawn bearing re-occuring bosses.
i had an idea that, when I saw this title, I thought was sortof the same. Here it is: You can choose the dimensions you want. In creating a world, just like you can choose large biomes or superflat, you can hit a button and then check or uncheck all sorts of dimensions. This would just compile the dimension mods and make them easier to get all together, so you can easily get the aether and enhanced nether together with others too of course. I really want a good ocean dimension...
But anyway, do you think this could be incorporated at all? I realize its a pretty big change.

I have an idea to allow glow torches to be placed underwater and above water without glitches. The torch would have 2 data values, one filled with water when placed in contact with water, one that is just a torch when not. That would work, right?

Suggestion on Bosses (Mainly that of the Overworld)

I know a lot of people have probably suggested a Gold/Diamond Golem (I apologize for not reading the entire thread to confirm this, but every time there is discussion about Bosses they comes up. Every time.) so i want to stay as far from that as possible. What I was thinking was some Behemoth like creature. Seeing as the characteristic property of the Overworld is that it has greenery (trees, plants, etc.) that would be involved so how in its design.
Now I got to thinking, and I for some reason remembered a story from the bible or one of those, and that story is that of a trio of biblical beasts; the Behemoth, Leviathan, and Ziz; beasts of the Earth, Ocean, and Sky. Look at the three proposed primary dimensions real quick. Overworld (Earth), Water Dimension (Sea), Skylands (Sky). It fits. I don't mean to get all pious, all that I'm saying is that it fits. Hell, Pokemon did it. Why not Minecraft?
Anyway, back to the Overworld boss. I think for its boss fight realm, some kind of combination of Extreme Hills and volcanic cliffs on a small(ish) island in a sea of lava would work great. I know the sea of lava is somewhat of a dry idea, but think about it. Boss dimensions would need to be smaller to avoid people just running from the boss, and the land boss surrounded by what is essentially liquid land seems a fitting choice.
Now about that portal. The Extreme Hills biome draws me somewhat when discussing the Overworld boss for two reasons: First, its like the ultimate biome in terms of appearance of terrain
Second, there is a resource that is exclusive to that biome, and that is Emeralds. Now, in order to stick with the static portals theme with boss dimensions, I can see really two options, one of which I like far better.
1. Similar system to the End portals, where there is something you craft from Emeralds which you then use to active the portal to the boss realm.
2.Villagers. The primary currency of villagers appears to be Emeralds, implying some correlation with the Extreme Hills biome. There has recently been a lot of villager related gameplay elements implemented, mainly that they get attack by zombies at night and, more recently that they can gain opinions of you. Somewhat less know is that you can expand their villages and they will populate any houses you build for them. I say take advantage of this. Have some sort of system where if you trade enough with the villagers to a point where a certain number of them have a positive opinion of you and also expand their village to a certain point then some sort of ceremony will be preformed by the villagers and they will construct the portal to the boss dimension. This would also give incentive to protect the villagers in your world instead of just leaving them to their fate.
This is the one I like way more. It's less repetitive.
Anyway, not sure if I missed anything, but these seem like pretty solid ideas to me; far cry from the usual crap I've seen suggested about bosses. (see the Slime King thread) iduno. Vote up if you like it. Have some steak.
