Yes. I never played 1.7.3 ( i got it at 1.3) But I love the generation of beaches. SUPPORT.

You didn't read the OP, you didn't look at the screenshots, but for some reason you assumed that EMDude wants huge desert-like beaches. Interesting.

Some people dont use large biome world generator, me and my freinds bearly use it only useful time is on adventure maps for make long range terrain or if you can to travel further for basic things.

Yeah, I agree, I have tried to find beaches in Minecraft, haven't found one yet. It should be added back because it kinda adds a whole other happy feel to Minecraft.

The only biome where beaches seem to be present are Jungle biomes...
Now that really ticks me off though, because I HATE the jungle. Hate hate hate hate hate hate hate!
I do want the old beaches back, it would make an excellent addition to minecraft.
Oh, and the underwater bedding does need to be changed back too.

dood, many beaches are in different seeds. you are showing some seed that didnt have one. many seeds have it. I'm not giving any support because there are SEEDS. generate world > more options > Seed!

Well, post a screenshot of a nice beach. Not a desert-like wasteland, like Mizkaiz posted.
Also I would like to see a gravel beach and consistent sea bedding, as the thread requests them too.

Exalm gave me an Idea. go use the old days mod or NBXLite.
What if he plays SMP, or uses other mods? And who knows, maybe he is fine with all other aspects of the new terrain? Why should he play on old terrain in this case?

Yes. I agree completely with the OP. Although I'm not eager for another terrain generation change to mess up the biomes in everyone's worlds again, I think some changes will be necessary to restore the aesthetic appeal that minecraft maps had before 1.8.

I am especially annoyed at the appearance of the seabed. BLEAGH! Seeing the screenshots before and after really brings back memories of better scenery. The removal of gravel beaches is also sad, as it was realistic and provided some variety to the coastline.

The thing I am disappointed with Mojang the most is the terrain generation. I mean, what happened to all those kickbutt beautiful worlds? I miss them so much, and all Mojang made was things like turning beaches into 2 block wide "Beaches". FULL SUPPORT!

You call that desert a beach? A lot of people use normal world generations without using large biomes. For those people, beaches are just boring sloped hills of sand. Also, seriously, your "beach" screenshot was nothing like a normal beach, and nothing like the beach this thread maker and the rest of us is asking for.
