in the forums there should be this thing that has mods for a mac computer because some people do not know how to download mods and look up tutorials on youtube and it gets confusing and probably some of u will go like wow who doesnt know how to download mods wow thts a stupid idea but to other people this would be really helpfull.
Mods for Mac would have the links for mods and would make it easy to install mods for Mac computers.
It would also tell you how to go through the process of installing mods if u get confused.
Downloading mods for some people can be easy but for other people it can get VERY confusing so this is why there should be Mods for Mac.
Modding is actually easier on a mac (I'm on a macbook). So if its confusing you, then you should probably look up a different tutorial. All mods are compatible with macs if you have a .rar opener.
1.) First, you compress the minecraft.jar so it becomes "minecraft.jar.zip" to do this, just right click minecraft.jar and click compress.
2.) Then you can move minecraft.jar somewhere that you'll remember it'sthere, if your mod doesn't work.
3.) Then, you double click the zip file so you get a folder called "Minecraft"
Right click, Get Info, then change the name to "minecraft.jar"
If you Need modloader for that mod, follow the modloader instructions (Just drag them in, you don't need to do the terminal stuff)
Most mods you can just drag the .class files into the minecraft.jar folder. Some, like the aether are a lot more complicated. Don't forget to delete you're META-INF folder.
Well I think it's easy. I just use MCpatcher if its for like a class file. But with stuff like More Creeps and Weirdos I just do what it says which is easy. Not joking.
I think different because u hav to use terminal and if u just get one letter wrong, just one then u will hav to start over until u get it right
No, you don't need to use terminal. You can use terminal, but it's harder and more inconvenient. Just follow those steps. :smile.gif:
Or even use a modpack for an easy install. I recommend the YogBox. It has an installer.
