Hmm, I dunno on that one. If a mob has enough detail, then it deserves its own thread. If it's a random 5-second thought, then it deserves to go onto the small suggestions thread.
I think there should be a Herobrine/Human implementation thread. Those suggestions do pop up occasionally.

That's not a megathread. A megathread is a thread with a list of other people's ideas and links to their ideas.

UPDATE - Updated OP a smidgen:

- removed Herobrine
A megathread is a comprehensive thread relating to a single topic. It's an unusual twist. I actually like calling them "primal threads" because they are the way I think threads were originally intended to work.
There's a few reasons for it, and I'll list the few off the top of my head.
It cuts on crap/clutter - if all threads were megathreads, the bloat on suggestions would go from enormous to trivial. We'd go from 100,000+ unique threads to about 500~1000. That's a 99% gain on efficiency.
It has full representation - The beautiful part here is that nothing would be lost. All POVs are accounted for, and each member has their space to talk.
There's less rule-spam - Its far easier to navigate and find specific terms given a scope so long as OP is well-organized. This means less "WISHLIST" and less "USE SEARCH" or "ALREADY SUGGESTED!"
There's far less thread/idea redundancy - We'd still have obligatory snowflakes, but these can be referenced to megathreads and locked; within each megathread, ideas are less likely to be recursed, especially if OP is a jerk like me and adamantly refused to give credit to redundant posts. If there's a perceived nothing to gain from posting a suggestion that's already suggested, the likelihood to support an existing implementation rises.
There'd be no thread necro - Since a megathread is by-and-large an official source for information; it remains ALWAYS current so long as its objectives are still in scope of the game (obviously an "add wolves" megathread would be dead by now since they're part of the game.) Since redundant threads would be locked/merged into a megathread; there'd be no possibility that it could be bumped. This makes everyone's life a lot easier.
Effectively, megathreads are the way (I think) threads are supposed to be in the first place; which is why I call them "primal/proto threads". Placing them under a grandiose super-affix (x10^6) is a bit misleading in my opinion as they're more of an idea scenario. I'd like to call a megathread a "thread" and have the regular threads you see called a "microthread" instead of the current terminology.
While good, I don't generally like megathreads. The already posted thread is, and should be treated as the ultimate megathread. It kind of becomes redundant, as the megathreads are for organizing similar ideas which are already organized in the already posted section.
Edit: I realized that the already posted section hasn't been updated in a month. What a shame.
Cubic Chunks isn't a megathread. It's a single large and very popular thread about a very specific implementation. It's wicked awesome, but that doesn't mean it's a megathread.
As a reminder, do not make a megathread unless you absolutely see the need for one. A megathread was recently locked because the poster was unable to continue contributing to the thread.
If you are making a megathread because it's (somehow) the cool thing to do or because you think it'll give you attention, you're doing it for the completely wrong reason.
There's a reason why any hopeful megathread (besides my own) are reviewed and considered before they're added to the list. I'm not going to host dead threads or megathreads that just turn out to be 3 posts of people bickering.
The reason why my megathreads are instantly added to the gigathread is because I KNOW I can maintain it, I don't have to call the veracity of my work and background into account, and also because I am careful about what I select as a megathread.
DO NOT MAKE A MEGATHREAD if the reasons to do so are:
1) You want the thread to be pinned
2) You see me doing it
3) You seek recognition
ALSO, DO NOT MAKE A MEGATHREAD IF:
1) Your post count is under 1000
2) You have been posting for less than 3 months
3) You aren't an active member of this community
The above may sound like I'm being elitist, but it's actually because these conditions actually show that you're a regular member that hasn't gotten banned from the community and has enough presence to have actual respect from the community. While its wrong to judge someone by their post-count, the worth of the individual is determined by their activity and gathered respect. So, yes, post count does matter.
The point of megathreads is to create a COMPREHENSIVE LIST of topics that can fit under a label (wolves, rpg elements, testificate behavior, etc.) It is there to help the community, but no one will want help from a stranger. It simply doesn't work if people haven't heard of you; they'll ignore you or use your negative reputation to drill your thread into the ground.
In a way, consider me akin to a gatekeeper or authority. If your megathread isn't added quickly or at all, it's because I don't think it'll make the cut. When I place a megathread under review, it's because I've already determined that it won't make it, but I'm willing to take back that judgment should I be proven otherwise. It's happened before.
I'm an excellent judge of character, even through prose. I work in it, it's expected. If I put your thread under review or simply don't add it, don't take offense, PROVE ME WRONG. Make your thread stand the test of time, and show you actually care enough about the community to not create another waste of space on the forum.
I've made an enchantment megathread, but I foresee:
*ruffles around in a gaudy 10-gallon hat* - A hmm...
*continues shufflin-* AHHH! SON OF A- WHO PUT A LIVE MOUSE TRAP IN HERE!!!
*winces and continues to shuffle before withdrawing a red throbbing hand*
I see before me: Potion megathread.
I will not be taking care of it, but if someone will private message me about wanting to start/maintain it, feel free to do so. I request that you all be patient as I check your qualifications. Again, I'm not perfect, but I am a good judge of character, and I don't want that thread to be locked because you don't feel like taking care of it anymore or whatever excuse you may have.
