Now I don't know if there is a mod for this as I'm not very up-to-date with modding in Minecraft, but I think Paint in Minecraft would be a fine addition. (I'm not on my normal computer right now, I'll probably get pictures later on)
Here's how it would work:
3x3 or 2x2 crafting squares would work, you take a bucket of water, and one of the dyes (bucket on bottom and dye on top, any dye) and bam! Paint bucket. And the bucket now acts sort of like Cake, you can place it and take some of the paint from the bucket with a brush (unfortunately I'm not quite sure how you would make the paint brush :S) and the paint would slowly go down n the bucket. However, the bucket is not lost after all the paint is gone. it just pops out as if you threw it on the ground after the last bit of paint is used. The paint would only work on Wooden Blocks, normally, used for houses, and wooden doors. Now I understand that Doors wouldn't be as easy to paint because they open when you hit them, lol but I was thinking when you right-click the door with your paintbrush, it still opens like normal, it just paints the door the color of what you grabbed from the bucket. Now you're probably saying, "well, we could just make wood blocks like wool and dye them like that" but in my opinion that kind of takes the fun out of colored wood blocks.
Ok, on to another matter. The water (now paint) inside the bucket is now place able, I have not figured out 100% where it would be acceptable to place the paint bucket, but let's say you couldn't place it on a log. In this case the paint would act like milk and when right-clicked on the ground that doesn't allow the bucket to be placed, the paint is lost. My reasons for the paint to just be lost is that water and dyes aren't hard to make so it wouldn't be all that much of a hassle to get a new bucket of paint.
Now, for the paintbrush
SOMETHING like that but with white wool to start. Putting any colored wool in there wouldn't make anything. But the paintbrush crafting recipe is not by any means official.
I have thought of this quite a bit but I do want feedback :smile.gif: I will be adding on to this because I know I`ve forgotten something but for now, this will stand.
And yes I noticed this thread viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15060
but i think its different enough to stay standing.
