Having hydration in the game could work and would give water bottles an extra purpose.
Also it should be biome dependent, meaning if you're in a hot desert, your hydration bar depletes faster, if you're in a tundra or taiga biome for example, your hydration bar depletes much slower, but in exchange, the cold temperature causes the character to expend more energy, and therefore hunger bar depletes faster.
Also both the hunger and the thirst bar should mean life or death even on normal difficulty, I think it is a bit wrong, that hunger can only bring you down to half a heart on normal difficulty because the point of eating is not only to keep you strong, but also keep you alive.
Some people rejected the thirst idea because they find it inconvenient, but like it or not, this is how survival works.
Until then drinking out of bottles in the game just feels like a placeholder for a feature which should already be in the official/vanilla game by now.
do you think mojang or jeb in the future will intend to add hydration bar or stamina bar for the game?
if so they should also add the dehydration effect which might make the game even more challenging than usual.
i would be much satisfied if the appraisal was made, by using a new craftable item that works as a appraisal tool.
