Purpose: Datapacks for custom dimensions are becoming more popular. We need the ability to apply gamerules like doDaylightCycle and doMobSpawningfor a single dimension, not all. This also implies each dimension would have its own time as doDaylightCycle could differ between dimensions. More consequences can be discussed in the comments.
User-level Interface: The means for players to modify gamerules for a specific dimension could be done by modifying the argument list to the gamerule command. The new proposed command is /gamerule <rule> <value> <dimension>.
Edit: Dimension argument moved to the end of the command to make it optional. Omitting applies to all dimensions. Edit suggested by Badprenup.
This suggestion supports multi-dimensional servers that use datapacks instead of mods. Great for servers running on Realms.
I absolutely support this. The only thing I would add is that the dimension tag should be optional. If ignored it applies to all dimensions.
