i think there should be a netherite chest (made with a ender chest/shulkerbox in the middle, and the top bottom and the sides netherite)
and it should hold items BUT... when you die IN LAVA nothing burns so you can collect it
i think this is a good idea because if you just came back from mining 2 stacks of DIAMONDS OR OBSIDIAN it would be annoying if you lost it all in lava you forgot was there this would be a fantastic thing because it isn't too easy nor too hard to craft / get but can they be in broken portals (ONLY IN THE NETHER ) or bastions or the fortress ?
I do not understand.
How is a chest, a form of stationary storage, supposed to save items held and dropped by the player?
In terms of stationary security - even regular, wooden chests don't burn.
In terms of mobile security - player has a variety of methods of preventing him/herself from burning, most notably by using fire resistance potions, and secondarily through E.G.Apples and strongly enchanted armor.
At most I imagine not a netherite chest, but netherite bundle, or for that matter, box or canister.
It would act like regular bundle, except not burning in lava and protecting items inside, as well as carrying them exactly like normal bundle does.

Totalitarian architecture. Angular, defensible masonry over sleek, sloped carpentry.
Taking it slow. Provoking into attack typically does better rushing.
Underground engineering. Well-lit tunnels are much safer and often cheaper than any surface construct.
Farmability. One of primary concerns relating to any feature.
Practical mobs. No annoyances taking up space and processor power.
Generalism and simplicity. Overly complicated and specialized concepts hardly ever come into fruition.
