Its weird and annoying to have a certain biomes next to each other. For example
Desert next to Taigas
Plains next to Desert
Tundra next to Temperate Forest
I would suggest Minecraft developers to have smooth biome transitions that compliment the biomes. Biome transitions are would make minecraft biomes feel more realistic. Its ugly having a desert biome next to plains biome.
Now terrain generation is also another suggestion developers should look at. They should make the terrain more smoother. Like a nice smooth slopes. The terrain in game isnt bad but i do feel like it needs a update to make it smoother.
Hopefully some can agree I would love to settle in some better smoother terrains in survival.
I approve that, but it needs to be well-thought-out.
I propose to make generated map be laid over a random pattern of freezing-cold and hot biomes, with warm and cold biomes in-between, ditto for extremely arid and humid biomes, and, if possible, also geologically stable/unstable (mountainous or not). These three dimensions should provide the minecraft worlds with cohesive transitions of mathematically-laid-out biomes.
The first two dimensions of generation can be explained via most biome charts IRL. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/68/Climate_influence_on_terrestrial_biome.svg

Dark caves - lit 'n' cleaned out
Settlements - deep underground
Farmability - to grinder bound
Shields - made creepers but sound
Axes and crossbows - taking mobs out
