At this point I'm begging for a way to check if someone said a specific thing in chat I mean this could open so many opportunities that make no sense why they aren't already in the game to begin with.
So like a "testfor [message] [time frame]" command? It sounds like it could be useful in mapmaking, but it would be rather difficult to utilize it more than simply clicking on items that appear in chat. Still, I can support it.

Watch out for the crabocalypse. Some say the day will never come. But it will.
Feel free to drop by for a chat whenever.
If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.
The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.

testfor was an actual command before 1.13, and many people still use it.
As for the suggestion, I see how it could be useful if there was some way to store the data somewhere else (maybe in a custom name) if there are only a limited number of responses you could just use click events with tellraw.

Remember those versions that minecraft pranked us with? Specifically:
Minecraft 2.0
Minecraft 1.VR-Pre1
Snapshot 15w14a
Minecraft 3D
Those are still downloadable! Watch this video for 2.0:
To download the other ones you need to make a folder in the versions folder for minecraft and put the client and JSON file for the versions in there. They all need to be named the same aside from file extensions. Once you do that, you will be able to choose that version when making a new profile with the minecraft launcher.
I was thinking more along the lines of opening up opportunities for players to create their own custom commands without having to use modding tools/stuff like that. Say for example if someone said in chat "!gmc" it would change their gamemode into creative. Thats just an example of stuff you could do with the chat check thing.
Or say for example if you wanted to create a vanilla city type server and wanted to make a system where u could give people money (money in this situation could be your experience level) and so a player could type into chat: "!give $100" and it would subtract 100 levels of xp from you and give it to the nearest player within range. I've already implemented all that except for the way to make it so you can execute it through chat.
