Honestly , i know that a lot of people dont care about fishing in Minecraft , but i would revamp all of the mechanics of fishing and add new types of fish to make the game more interesting and to bring some irl aspects into the game.
New types of fishing :
-Bobber Fishing: -The rod and all the mechanics would be the exact same as the ones in the game
-Would be crafted with the same recipe as the in-game one
-Their maximum reach would be 9-15 Blocks
-Angling:
-The rod would be the similar to the current one in the game but harder to obtain and would yield better results
-Would be crafted with similar
items as the current crafting recipe for the bobber rod
-The maximum reach would be 29-43 Blocks
-Would use a very different mechanic
-Fly Fishing:
-Would use a totally different mechanic
-Would be crafted with a totally different
crafting recipe
-The Maximum reach would be 20-35 Blocks
-Would yield the best results and the harderst to obtain types of fish
The mechanics would be :
Bobber Fishing:
-The same mechanic as in the game -
Angling:
-First, the rod would be casted ,
then it would land in the water ,
the throwing distance would depend
on how long does the player hold the
another button that would say reel
cast button , which would need to be added.
,which also would need to be added.
There would be a green or red circle on the
rod that would begin to wobble when a fish is caught , the player would then just have to
travel further from the shore and would pull
the fish onto the shore , when the fish is on shore
the player can just pick it up with a bucket or kill it
Fly Method:
-The player would have to cast the
rod , there will be an artificial fly as
the bait .Then the player would hold
after the fly is reeled in , the player
would just have to repeat this
process (the artificial fly would be
visible). When The Fly sinks and the
rod starts to shake then a fish has
caught it , from this point the player
can just reel it in and catch it with a bucket or kill it
Note: There would need to be more types of bait for different fish
and that different types of fish would be harder to cat
No support. This seems completely unnecessary as you’ve added new fishing methods for new types of fish with no explanation as to what these new fish are useful for. We already have plenty of fish in my opinion, since they’re only useful for eating (or potions, but none of your new fish seem suited to potions). Just a lot of extraneous feature with for no practical reason. Seems better suited to a fishing simulator than Minecraft.
