Playing with friends on the java edition takes FAR to long to do (the first time round) why should people have to pay for realms to have an easy way to play with friends or using hosting websites. I know you can just use the server files on minecraft.net to setup a 4gb ram server but that takes along time especially portforwarding. I suggest they add a friend system like the bedrock edition one except it uses minecraft accounts.Because java has mods though people should have to download the same mods as you if you have them on the world resource packs won’t make a difference. This would make minecraft multiplayer a lot funnier if executed correctly and make java edition more user friendly to new players.
I agree but Minecraft is similar to how I think of PC multiplayer these days/in the past and not counting more MMO like games in this where I've seen friend lists. But for either knowing if your friends are online or making games simpler to setup I can see this being an interesting system. Would this count for LAN games too or just serverside multiplayer? Either way, SUPPORT.
