i liek the idea of piling snow, and the ability to use it like we use the 'snow carpet' currently. I do not like the idea of added weather effects to creating sand storms, as ultimately, that would dissuade people from building in the deserts which are already boring enough. As a terraformer/landscaper though, i love the idea of variable height sand to amplify my aesthetic builds.
I like this idea, deserts look boring and one of 3 interesting things (the village, the desert temple & the fossils) is under tons of sand and no one ever finds it because of that.

Ikr! I think it would be cool if dogs and wolves could sniff out the fossils since they like bones so much
Like when a fossil is within a 100 block radius, the dog will start barking a lot and move to wards the fossil's X coordinate location. It will sniff the ground if the fossil is below you, or look up and jump if its above you
We are playing a game where you can break a tree trunk with an egg only to have the remainder of the tree continue standing, Since when did anything about this game make sense? That being said, More biome specific weather and storms would be amazing and bring a lot to the game.

Maybe when the sandstorm was in progress, there would be a chance for existing small layers of sand to "blow away", or to disappear, as the other layers were being laid on the ground. Because it seems like if left untended, it could get out of control. Maybe the chance of blowing away could be increased the taller it gets? Not sure how difficult that would be to implement.
