I'm unsure whether this is an intentional feature but it has gone little out of hand.
In one of my worlds I have surrounded a village with a man-made cobblestone wall. During a raid, the wall prevents the illagers running into the village, which is great. However, when I go to defeat the illagers outside the wall, the raid "health" bar goes away, implying that I'm too far from the village boundary. That's understandable, but every time I kill raid captain, I keep getting the bad omen status effect, and every time I run back to the village a new raid boss health bar appears, meaning I now have to deal with 2 raids simultaneously.
This has gone on until I was left having to deal with 6 raids all simultaneously, and every time I end one raid, a new one begins, meaning I have an endless run of raids. This, in my opinion, is not a fun gameplay aspect, therefore I highly doubt this should be considered a feature
I would suggest keeping a variable, in which a raid can only begin if that variable is false. Once a raid begins, the variable turns to true, therefore no more raids can occur, even if a player has a bad omen effect. Or perhaps the player can only get the bad omen status effect when a raid is not currently happening.
Its gotten to the point where my world is now unplayable due to the endless amounts of illagers constantly running into my base trying to kill me, and it doesn't look nice either. Therefore I would really like it if there could be a patch where only only one, perhaps two or three MAXIMUM raids (just to increase difficulty perhaps) happen at the same time.
I've also attached a screenshot, showing exactly what I mean by "simultaneous raids"
I feel that Mojang has made a great improvement to the way villages work, and I overall find the villager vs. illager concept really fun, so I hope others will find this patch idea useful as well. Im happy to discuss these views with anyone. Thank you.
