As I play Minecraft, small ideas and concepts come to my head, that often times I forget about the next day. So right now, I'm going to delve deep into my memories and pull those little ideas from my head and slap them together into this post. Excuse the idioms.
Light Brown/Tan/Peach/Khaki dye. Tan is probably the most fitting name, though I haven't decided. Tan dye would be suitable for many scenarios. It's a cozy color that would be perfect for modernity, fantasy, and many other genres and styles that I can't think of at the moment. You could have mocha-colored beds, cozy carpets, et cetera. It simply gives off a mood that basic brown cannot, and that is why it would positivity benefit the game. I know, I know, "Minecraft will not be adding more dyes, blah blah blah, 16 is a good even number." Frankly, I don't care. To me it seems that Mojang is just lazy to not add more dyes that benefit the game, but I don't want to come off as rude. Personally, I think they should make an exception to tan dye, as I'm not the only person I know who wants it to be added into thw game.
Ivy seems like an interesting plant that would be especially fitting for Minecraft. It would be thick, dark-green foliage that sticks close to ground and is rather opaque, meaning that it would be difficult to see the block below in which it sticks to. Because of its thickness and how common it would be, it would be a perfect feature for dark oak forests. Dark oak forests would be full of foliage and would be overall overgrown, which would make the biome all the more interesting. Ivy would grow on the logs and would be crawling everywhere. Ivy would also be perfect for hiding things due to its bushiness. You could have a whole camp set up and still have it be somewhat hidden with ivy everywhere. I imagine ivy would be about a slab tall. Overall would make the game a bit more immersive.
Excluding plants, all blocks in Minecraft should be placeable without a block touching it, meaning ladders would be placeable with no block behind it, flower pots placeable with no block below it, and so forth. This simple feature would add a lot more possibilities with furniture and design. It seems that Minecraft has slowly been building up (no pun intended) to this idea, with trapdoors being placeable without another block attached, but I'm unsure why they haven't just added it with all the blocks. Floating torches would be especially cool in my opinion.
Different animal textures. I go more in depth with this in another post, so check that out.
Certain foods that aren't edible ahould definitley be edible. Brown Mushrooms seem like the edible kind, so they should be edible. Red mushrooms should be edible too, but should probably poison you as they seem toxic. Sugar should be edible, and it would be really cool if it gave you a small boost in speed temporarily, like a less potent swiftness potion. Dandelions should also be edible since in real life they have a high nutritional value with supposed health benefits. Eggs should probably be edible, but similarly to raw chicken give you hunger sickness.
Anvils are too easy to use, especially compared to real life, so I believe they need a small nerf. It would be cool if hammers were added to the game. To use an anvil, you would need to apply a hammer, so the UI would have to be altered a bit since the hammer would take up an extra spot. The better the hammer material, the less XP required to complete the task at hand. Everytime you would use a hammer in an anvil it would use up one durability.
Nametags should not require an anvil. It simply does not make sense as to why you need an iron anvil to take a paper tag and apply it to an object. A better solution to naming something would be to use a cartography table. Though it still doesn't make 100% sense, it makes a ton more sense than using the anvil. Another feature that grinds my gears involving nametags is that it's considered treasure. Why can't you craft it? It's just paper and string. It would certaintly give paper another use.
As previously mentioned, chicken eggs should be edible, but they should also be cookable. Stick those babies in a smoker, grab a cookie, and have yourself a delicious breakfast.
This is more of a pet peeve of mine, but I wish gold nuggets could have a rounder texture. If only Mojang shorted the bottom by two pixels, the nuggets would look much less oblong.
Another texture change that I heavily reccommend is making item frames block texture look more like when you hold it in your inventory, and by that I mean darker. Item frames are noticed from miles away because they are so bright. Why is the frame yellow? Why can't it just be the regular oak color? It would look so much better.
Terrain generation. This is a biggie. There's plenty of posts about this, so I won't elaborate too much. I'm just tired of gross potholes, small lakes, hundred of rivers, and sharp angles in the terrain. Why can't the world look more realistic? A better word would be aesthetic.
Obsidian stairs, slabs, and walls. To be honest, I don't have a real reason as to why I want these added. Perhaps someone who agrees with me could elaborate. It just seems like they need to be added, y'know?
Different forms of pots. Tall pots, short pots, wide pots. Would be great for a new villager profession, "the clay sculptor".
ITEM FRAMES PLACEABLE ON THE GROUND FOR BEDROCK. Why isn't this added already?!
More paintings, especially nature and landscape paintings, and less Minecraft themed paintings. There is such a limited amount of paintings, and it's dissapointing. There is a lot of unused potential.
Notes would be an interesting feature. Think of a cheaper to make book and quill. It would be used to write on like a book, just for smaller discussions. It would be great for mapmakers especially. In real life, when was the last time you made a book with however many pages just to send someone a message? I hope your answer was "never", because that's just a waste.
More uses for nether stars. Let's face it, beacons aren't very good. They're decent in creative when you can make them much easier, but in survival you need to be stacked to make a full beacon. Instead, nether stars should be used for large bombs. So think of a 30x30 boom. It would mean more griefing, but you can always toggle TnT explodes off.
I believe I wrapped up my thoughts. Tell me your guys' opinions and suggestions.

Well that's sort of silly. Why not? I thought the whole point of the suggestions section was to suggest suggestions. I didn't want to spam 17 posts in a row, so I felt it would be much better to do this. Or should I have done the former?

Am I allowed to post consecutively? If so then I may do just that. I've heard Mojang checks some of these posts on here and takes them into consideration. Are they likely to do that with the small suggestions thread as well? Or just the ones that get popular?

As others have said, unrelated suggestions within a single thread are not allowed. Please group these ideas into separate threads of closely related ideas or use the Small Suggestion thread.

My suggestions: Enhancements - Throwable Fire Charges - On Phantoms and Elytra. Also check out The Minecraftian Language. This signature is not here to waste your space.
