The Nether needs more stuff! I think the nether should have charred wood trees, which don’t catch on fire, are red on the inside and dark on the outside (logs) the planks would be like a maroon color. The leaves would be on some of the tree’s multiple branches. The leaves would also be fireproof. More kinds of farmable crops should be found in the nether, more ores( one possibly better than diamond) , nether villages with a new villager variant, soul sand cows, lava based hostile mobs, even a summonable boss. Ruby ore. Rubies could be mined with an iron pickaxe and made with obsidian , And a enchanted book to make a special enchantment table that can add negative enchantments like the curse of vanishing. Combined with charred wood bookshelves, you have a way to make curse enchantments . New dark red corrupted emeralds can be traded with nether villagers .
Anyone got suggestions? I would enjoy hearing from you. I would like to have the nether updated for 1.16, let me know if u would like the nether to get more content as much as I do.
I partially support this. I've seen nether ores in mods and it doesn't feel right, unless of course you are talking about new ores found only in the nether such as quartz. I like the idea of ruby being added to the game. I don't like any of the stuff that's basically copying the overworld (Trees, Villages, Crops, soul sand cows.). With the ruby cursing table I like the idea, but it seems a little too exclusive, more curses would need to added to the game in order to be useful. I love the idea of a nether boss, considering the only one is a wither and it doesn't really fit the nether theme. I think that ruby should have some exclusive use and not just be another emerald or a better diamond.
I'm with Kevraja on this one. Maybe the boss could be like... I don't know... Maybe the King of the Ghasts?

Personally I would like to see the use of the nether roof to house a dungeon like maze which leads to a boss at the top. Perhaps the red dragon which was a concept long ago could be placed there. Could maybe drop a dragon heart which can be an infinite fuel source if placed in a furnace and won't be eaten by the furnace.
Sure people could still build on top of the rest of the nether roof, this structure would only take up a few chunks.
How do you find this nether maze? Explore the nether until you find a tower of nether brick that reaches from top to bottom of nether.
Idea needs more polishing, but that's pretty much what I'd like to see.
Perhaps there could be a portal that'll take you above the nether roof into the maze, instead of a random tower. Either way I feel the nether roof is current crawling with potential.
That’s also a great idea, but maybe there could be possibly multiple nether mazes with dragons in them. The dragons could drop both nether dragon scales and nether dragon hearts. The scales could be used to make nether dragon armor, which could be better than diamond and gave the wearer the ability to resist both blaze attacks and give fire resistance for 4 minutes per day with the full set. The armor would also have a kind of scale texture and be more 3D . The portal idea works, but maybe there could be towers that house the portals , and they wouldn’t reach the top of the nether, they would be tall towers with both the new wood blocks and nether bricks being implemented in the structure.
possibly there could be more new mobs in the maze and random loot chests.
the amount of nether mazes would be from 1 to a maximum amount of like 6 .
The dragons could have a 100% drop rate for 1-5 scales, the dragon heart, and a small chance to drop other rare loot. And on rare chance, there would be another dragon in the maze. The dragons could spawn if a player right clicked on a kind of altar that would be on the opposite side of the entrance and you would get a message saying that a nether dragon spawned.
Well I understand that you don’t want the nether to copy the overworld, but maybe the trees could be used for new , cool looking doors, trapdoors, fences, etc. these things would be harder to break than normal wood doors and other things made with wood in the overworld. They would also be fireproof . Maybe instead of a village, there could be a sort of fort that houses new nether npcs, that could be neutral and attack you if you hit them. There could be an alchemist villager only found in the nether that sells potions and that kind of stuff, and can trade things like a fire resistance potion for like , let’s say, coins that can be crafted only with a rare new nether ore or found in darkmagi’s nether maze structure idea.
The wood crafted from the nether trees would be a lot better than any other wood found in the overworld, and a lot more rare. They would look like dead trees in terms of having a lot of limbs with little amount of leaves.
The alchemist could could give you potions of blindness, nausea, mining fatigue, extra health(more hearts) levitation, and these potions couldn’t be made, only bought from the alchemist(other craftable potions would be sold as well). Also , the alchemist could have a detailed dark red robe with a hood , potion stains on the sleeves, pale skin and light blue eyes, and a belt with potion bottles and pouches. They. could live in medium sized, secluded shacks with new paintings on the walls, charred wood used for the building, a fenced nether wart farm in the back, and a cauldron and a brewing stand.
With the dragon scale armor idea, instead of 4 minutes a day I think it should be 30 seconds but it works like the turtle helmet. The dragon heart would be overpowered, but imagine how useful it would be for automation. I like the idea of the alchemist, maybe you could sell them potion ingredients? Forts instead of villages would be good, it would be cool if they had a unique way to defend themselves. For this maybe we could have guard villagers or something? About the coins thing, I like it but if you find them in the mazes, the mazes would need to be a lot more common.
The coins could possibly be found in any form of dungeon, like mineshafts to nether mazes, sound good?
In the mazes, there could be many rooms, with loot, traps, mob spawners, dead ends, etc., and a 10.5 percent chance for there it be more than one nether dragon room.

Idea, you could sell the alchemist 2 dragon scales, a glass bottle, and 30 ruby coins to get a potion that gives you both an extra row of hearts for six minutes , regen 1 for 2 minutes and resistance 1 for about 6 minutes. This potion could not be crafted and would be called “potion of dragonhide” and could be obtained from the creative mode inventory. The extra row of hearts would not be golden apple hearts, but normal hearts. Maybe the alchemist could sell you a new crafting device called the potion mixer for 50 ruby coins, a brewing stand, and a dragon heart.

I like all of these ideas, but to compromise with the work that puts in, maybe we should just ask Mojang if they would update nether fortresses. Those already satisfy the requirements of a maze and a fort and have many unfinished rooms, roofs, and balconies, that could easily have space justified by red dragon mini-bosses, nether-tree farms, alchemy shops, etc.
I've said before that the problem with structures isn't that there are few too types or too far apart, but that the existing ones are not used to their full potential. It's taken years for villages to get a revamp, seeing most of the pre-1.7 complexes get updated to the less cubey, more decorative style of monuments, igloos, etc. would be nice. Mineshafts have done this sufficiently and now villages too, but both strongholds and nether-holds/ fortresses are very lacking with awfully barren rooms for their late-stage progression in the game. Even End Cities, which are much more interesting, can be barren at times.
It doesn't have to be free loot or obviously useful appliances like brewing stands. Just some decorations like paintings, banners, item frames, armour stands with half-finished armour, etc. would add more ambiance to many places that seem dead to the point of making Minecraft a psychological horror game, instead of a mix between adventuring game and sandbox.
We really should ask Mojang about this, and a revamp in how nether fortresses look is beyond needed along with more content. This idea , if this stuff is added to Minecraft, it would make the gameplay more enjoyable, especially for when people go to the nether.
How about the lava boat would have a certain amount of durability before it broke, and you would have to be careful how much time you spent on the lava ocean. Also it could be crafted with nether wood, maybe some normal wood too, and a stone shovel.

I'm stuck on the fence here, it would make the Nether too easy no matter what, but the difficulty is admittedly forced.
So the boss have too bee summoned by a structure here's how to summon him: 9x3 cube, put glow stone on evey side on the face of the cube, and there will be a giant ghast that looks like a giant soul sand with glow stone eyes. And will have 300 health, The attacks will be: 1. Flaming glow stone 2. Explosive soul sand. 3. Block destroying, also it will drop the "the orb of souls" Which will be on number 2.
"Orb of souls"
The orb of souls will give you the power so suck up souls from soul sand and it will turn into regular sand, and once you get 30-40 souls you can right-click it to get the new effect "soul power" For 7 minutes that will give you resistance for 3 minutes speed for 2 minutes and will let you walk on soul sand normally, and jump boost for 2 minutes.
3. Blaze crossbow
The blaze crossbow is for the new piglets, the new crafting recipe:
3 blaze rods, 2 blaze powder, 4 quarts. It will have the power of a ghast fireball and if it hits a mob then it will be caught on fire.
4. Heat-blasting furnace
A furnace that is 100x hotter then a normal furnace. When it's smelting the ground starts to burn. Crafting recipe: 1 blast furnace, 4 netherrack 2 blazerods, 1 lava bucket, and 1 furnace. You can still smelt but its different... 1 iron Ingot > liquid iron ( and for all of the other Ingots) 1 diamond> liquid diamonds 1 clay> 1 dry brick 1 lava bucket > 1 super heated lava 1 sand > 1 liquid clump of sand.

I think with this new idea we could make a boat that floats on lava. Great suggestion!
I'm not really fond of a lava boat, I feel it takes away from the "challenge" of trying to cross an ocean of lava.
How about the lava boat would have a certain amount of durability before it broke, and you would have to be careful how much time you spent on the lava ocean. Also it could be crafted with nether wood, maybe some normal wood too, and a stone shovel.

Actually, no nether boat. It would get rid of any difficulty in the nether
I have 4 ideas
1. The soul sand boss
So the boss have too bee summoned by a structure here's how to summon him: 9x3 cube, put glow stone on evey side on the face of the cube, and there will be a giant ghast that looks like a giant soul sand with glow stone eyes. How about a nether tnt that actually brings the nether in to the overworld
