Welcome to the thread for
Medieval Castle Fortresses
"For Horner!"
Castles. the structures most asked for to be added to Vanilla Minecraft. Their potential for gameplay seams pretty clear and strait forward. Imagine fighting your way through mobs and the waters of the swamp, to find yourself at the front gate of a castle! With a Creeper face at the front, Statues of guards to guard the Draw Bridge & throne room, Statues of guards beside each tower to guard the corners of the castles, and 3 Crosses on the N, S, E, & W walls of the castle to remind the dangers that roam the castle walls and the threats on the outside. Castles would be a great place to find loot like:
1. Emerald (16%), Diamonds (11%) Iron (31%), Gold (36%), or Ruby (6%) blocks used for castle decoration.
2. Capes and Player Heads (from Knights killed from charged creeper explosions).
3. Ships, Wagons, and Chariots that may spawn around the perimeter near or inside the castles.
4. Armor, Weapons, Banners, Player Heads, Gauntlets, Quivers, and Rubies from chests in hidden rooms (Rubies can be used to replace any amount of any Item and Experience needed for trades and Enchantments [unless they have the NoExceptions tag added]). {Checkout the following link for more information:}
Castles would have Knights roaming the Castles with the flag of their Kingdom (the Kingdom_Tag that the knights use to determine their Kingdom alliance). Castles would also be the only place you can find Rubies (This adds value due to their rarity and uses). Castles them selves would be rare, but there would always be a 50% chance of a Castle to spawn at the coordinates X1-Y1. Each castle will be randomly generated (carpet and wool color, wood type, statues, flag patterns, throne room terracotta floor patterns, and rooms.); however, Castles in Deserts or the Savannah biomes will have their own design and always spawn with purple colored wool, carpet, and banners.
Castles would have their own purposes for the game and the players that would add new unique challenges and rewards.

Each of the additions (eg Statues, Ruby, Capes [assumed different than the attainable only via minecon attendance item], Ships, Wagons, Chariots, Gauntlets, Quivers, Knights [possibly missed some]) needs to be detailed as to what it does in game (with numbers), how it is made (if craftable etc.), how it is used, etc.
There are also mention of things (like "hidden rooms") that need detailing. [Hidden rooms as in rooms without entries that can occur in Mansions / Monuments, or like the puzzle room in a jungle temple, or the trapped loot in the desert version.]
Also the bits that sound like AI / rule additions need to be described:
Knights roaming the Castles [what actions does "roaming" entail? ]
the flag of their Kingdom [what is this? determined how?]
Kingdom alliance [how are alliances determined and what effect(s) do they have?]
"Castles would have their own purposes for the game and the players that would add new unique challenges and rewards."
Expand this; WHAT purposes for the game / new unique challenges and rewards?

sounds good, but you mentioned lots of items and a mob that would need to be added. can you give more info on this?
