You are correct, Mojang will likely never accept this. But it's been a long time since they take a leap of faith, do something that would change the game for the better. The idea behind this suggestion isn't too complicated. We have x y z axis per world. There are only 3 worlds but infinite axises. Now, can we make infinite worlds that extend infinitely? This suggestion is crazy, but it does so to push Minecraft to its ultimate potential.
And making a suggestion with the belief it will be added isn't a good idea. Mojang really only listens to little suggestions like change the font of "you cannot during the day". It's all for fun with the little chance of them considering your idea.
Reflecting a lot, this update is not so bad. Until it is good, but unfortunately Mojang would not put it...
You people are missing the point. He is not adding new tech to the game. He has found a way to make Minecraft infinite without spaceships. DON'T YOU SEE?? He used Norse mythology to add space to Minecraft. The Bifrost is an ancient transport to other realms, so the Endfrost would work the same way. HE HAS FOUND A WAY TO STAY TO THE THEME OF MINECRAFT WHILE ADDING A NEW UNIVERSE! He said all these things yet you are misssing the point. SO if 3^<&%& THEN $>?*(u sm)(()^&*^&%^&*%$^%@!@#$%^&*(...
One of largest complaints I've gotten involve the lack of content on planets. Why make infinite space if there's nothing to fill the space? Starting now I will begin adding more content to planets, starting with legendary items. Legendary items are very useful late-game items, unique to only certain planets. When a new planet is created, there is a 10% each legendary item will generate. This goes for each item, so there could be a planet with no legendaries or a planet with all the legendaries (very rare of course). Even if a legendary item generates, it will still be very rare.
The Allure, an alien flower that can turn hostile mobs passive and passive mobs hostile
The Incubator, so the player can obtain mob eggs in survival
The Eternity Gem, granting the player an infinite potion effect while the gem is in their offhand
As you can see, they are very powerful, however they each have their downsides and very rare (not to mention post-post-ender dragon). More will come.
I am effectively overhauling the planetary content, and I'd like to have community input as I do it. Expect numerous small updates like this over the next month or so, each inviting a new discussion. This will eventually be on reddit, so I want the best suggestion possible. If you have an idea for content in outer space or want to help out this suggestion, please share. I can add your name in the credits.
and I'm working on two fully developed mobs unique to outer space.
Allure: A very cool concept. Doesn't seem overpowered at all and it would finally give passive mobs a hostile mode. This would be good if some command were implemented to affect hostility. Adventure/PvE maps would benefit from this.
Incubator: I am going to assume you will explain how to incubate later. My suggestion is that every mob should have a chance of dropping a head when killed except those that have wierd or larger size heads (guardian, wither). They already have the heads for most mobs but don't utilize them. Placing said head in a crafting table with an egg (chicken dropped egg) will give you an unicubated ______ egg. Fuel must be added to power the incubator as with furnaces. After a while the egg will be incubated.
The Eternity Gem: I would be fine with this, but wouldn't beacons be useless. Perhaps, it could be used for something else.
I think the incubator should be a block that dispenses mobs instead of something that creates the mob eggs; I think having the actual mob eggs in Survival Mode would seem weird.

By "Outer Space" do you mean the new planets our actual space that the player would be able to go into?
As for community input, I've already said pretty much everything I have to say in this response. One of the things I mentioned was that different planets could have different gravity.

Also, where is Planet Frist?
Thanks for the feedback (also thanks StickyPistonPig, heads would be cool but I don't want to add too much content). How about changing incubators so they carry mobs almost like shulker boxes, gobbling them up and releasing them at the player's will? A name change would probably be in order if I were to go this route.
I have taken the alien complaint into consideration and added a new fully developed mob just for planets, with a familiar skin. and is the frist dead

Yeah, that would fit more, especially considering we already have the shulker box.
Major Update: Aliens have been completely overhauled. They are no longer random, but balanced preset created by Mojang. The color is the only random thing, based directly off the planet's color. New legendary items are here, tbh I've started running out of ideas. Finally, a much requested proper alien is here- Farlanders. Farlanders are little green neutral mobs whom the player can trade with or kill for unique loot. More info in the OP.
I think I've addressed most of the complaints regarding this thread with the new aliens and farlanders. If there are no more complaints I think I'll post this on Reddit. The input I've received from the critics on this thread has been amazing. I feel that this suggestion can finally live up to it's original intentions thanks to the edits I've made based on your feedback.
Alright, now this is a suggestion I can fully support. While the planets will probably still suffer due to the limits of procedural generation, the fact that there's now a proper reason to explore them AND there's a way to visit them from your base makes them worth exploring
FULL SUPPORT.

I would much rather see something like mystcraft added. Not with it's complexity, but just the idea of worlds in books. More dimensions to hide in.

This is very similar to mystcraft, only instead of using books its a machine in the end. And it's a bit less complicated
Here are the new legendaries:

Sounds great! The Frist will only continue to die if we neglect it. I think I'll start suggesting some of the items you get from the miniboss.
These sound quite balanced. My only suggestion is that when a titan is summoned, it rises out of the ground instead of just instantly appearing.

check out my suggestion for Yggdrasil, the great world tree
FOR THE HOLY LOVE OF ARCEUS AND HELIX COMBINED PALADINS IS NOT AN OVERWATCH CLONE. tf2's the true king anyways
-Let's make some noise
Can I put Allure in flower pots? I think there is been a while since last time we received something new in that sense.
