If you could add a lot of animals aim for 15 from each habitat you can think of-
Panda's, tigers, bears, whales, monkeys, more types of birds, lizards, snakes, more types of fish, etc.
First off, this isn't a forum for discussing a vague idea of a suggestion and asking other people for ideas, this is a place to suggest a complete idea with details like health, AI, drops, and if possible textures and models and everyone else can critique and improve the suggestion.
Besides that, we don't need this many animals anymore than we need this many kinds of rock. In the end it's all just slightly different models with slightly different textures and a different name on the spawn egg. (Do we really need Tigers, Cougars, Cheetahs, Lynxes and Ocelots?) And add to that the fact that this contrasts Minecraft's simplistic and "use your imagination" style of content.
But to top it all off, if the redundancy of multiple animals and the style contrast didn't convince you this wasn't the best idea, this is going to mean longer load times when turning on the game, much more data to download when you want to download a version of the game, and much more content for developers to manage with very little gain in gameplay.

My avatar is a texture from a small block game I made in Python. It's not very good and it probably won't work if you install it.
I'm very alone in my Minecraft worlds as I don't have a very good internet connection to run a server. If you're like me, you might be interested in my Posse mod suggestion.
We do need animals. A bunch of people I know that play minecraft love animals it's their favorite part of minecraft. they love to have pets and why would I need to decide what the animal's health is, Al, what it drops, or where it lives. If they were going to get put in the game then Mojang can figure that stuff out. I am just giving a suggestion and they will figure out all those little details.
We do need animals. A bunch of people I know that play minecraft love animals it's their favorite part of minecraft. That's not a good reason to add this to Minecraft. And if it "needs" this, why has it gotten so far without it? they love to have pets Of which there are plenty. and why would I need to decide what the animal's health is, Al, what it drops, or where it lives. Because that's your basic responsibility as the creator of this suggestion. That's literally the entire point of this forum: create suggestions, and no, this isn't a full suggestion. If they were going to get put in the game then Mojang can figure that stuff out. I am just giving a suggestion and they will figure out all those little details. Mojang doesn't read this forum. It is your responsibility to create and balance this suggestion; nobody else is going to do it.
Responses in bold. This suggestion is pointless and extremely underdeveloped. No support.

I've heard of social groups of people that all hate 1.9 PVP and that love it. The truth is, usually the social group(s) you're in don't really represent the entirety of the Minecraft community. Of course, more importantly than that, your social groups' ideas for the game are not always objectively what everyone wants, much less needs.
they love to have pets
And yet some of the animals you've mentioned would make odd pets... Sure, some people might have a tiger or a panda for a pet, but it's not really likely... Besides the fact that we already have three or four pets with very little practical use for the time and effort put into taming them and very little practical use left over for other pets.
(Oh, but the pets don't need to be practical! Well who thinks that? You and your friends? That's why I made the speech earlier... Some of us don't share the need or want of blocky domesticated animals that we can roleplay with.)

(Coughing fit ensues.)
If you're looking for a place to show Mojang suggestions, you're looking for the r/MinecraftSuggestions reddit. This is a place where you specify details, details, details and the community can decide whether or not your suggestion is good if you want a more objective answer to that question. (And improving your suggestion with details is probably more likely to attract Mojang's attention then a list of vague things you expect to see done overnight.)
I'm not sure what you expect people to do when they read your suggestion by posting to a forum of Minecraft fans rather than Minecraft developers...

Well, if you've made mistakes, the obvious thing to do is fix them instead of attempting to avoid all responsibility. There's an "edit" button for a reason. And if you don't feel like fixing your thread, you can ask to get it locked. Best of luck.
Unless the animals serve some sort of use (even if it's just to add to immersion), there is little to no point in adding them, since more important things could be worked on.
This is underdeveloped as everyone else says. Add some more description. Most of us are new, but provide at least a bit of detail. This has no description. This is a place for creative minds to share there ideas. Mojang never looks at the suggestions.

Sorry I'm a beginner so I am going to make a little more mistakes than a person that has been doing this for a while

All you had to do was read the stickies and you couldn't even do that. A "little" more mistakes? You did everything wrong in the book!
Sorry, I'm only human, I make mistakes, like you didn't make any mistakes on the third forum you made

Check out my suggestions! Here is one of them:
While these people are being a bit harsh, I agree with them for the most part. This suggestion is underdeveloped.
Hey guys, I wrote a Minecraft book called The Griefer Attack! Check it out!
