If a game I forget the name of can force the player to shoot chickens that deal no damage in pirated versions, I don't see why this would be a problem in terms of complexity and hilarity.
"I can't change out of the pirate language. Is it a bug?"
"No, it means you're a pirate."

If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.
This will not have much effect on piracy; they can just modify the game or launcher to bypass it. In fact, they have to do that anyway to bypass demo mode (which is very easy to do; for example, when making mods with MCP it does not set the demo mode switch, which is a command-line argument. One just needs to modify the launcher to not send the argument to the game when launching it without a paid account. The difference between MCP and a cracked account is that MCP can't download the requires assets by itself, it needs the official launcher to do it, which is probably why Mojang (one of the MCP developers even works for them) lets them get away with it. You also aren't able to have a fixed username but a random one like "Player123").
There is really no way at all to prevent piracy; even if Mojang tried to check that the launcher was unmodified (or on a list of approved 3rd-party launchers or modding tools) they can just send fake data (if necessary, download a genuine copy of the launcher to extract its digital signature/hash). I doubt it really hurts Mojang anyway (note - I do not advocate piracy, just pointing out just how many have bought the game) and the inability to play on non-cracked servers or have a custom skin in multiplayer likely causes many cracked users to buy the game when they realize how limited their options are (indeed, I know of many users on these forums who started with a cracked version, then bought the game).

Obviously the goal of this wouldn't be to prevent piracy but rather have a sense of humor.

Nevertheless, what they can do is make the pirate speak checker HARD for people to disable, as in make several checkers in various parts of the code that crash the game if they detect that that code has been removed, also add more of these checkers in each update, passing them off as more Herobrine repellent(so that the jerk stays removed longer xD) While the pirates are busy locating all the checkers, maybe Mojang or Microsoft can come up with a better way to protect the game, too!
Final score:
Mojang
+2 for making the game
+1 for protecting it
+1 for having humor while doing so
Total 4
Pirates:
+1 for having the brains to figure out how to break into the game
-2 for using those brains for evil when they could've made their own game instead
Total -1
Mojang is the clear and undisputed WINNER!

I hope someday there's more magic in Minecraft, though I know it's not likely to happen. In the meantime, I play modded a lot. I enjoy a lot of other games too, so don't expect me to be on the forums all the time.
I've seen things like this get implemented for other games, the difference was that they were brand new games and was implemented at the beginning of development. Minecraft has sold over 25 million copies already and is several years old. I'm all for a bit of humor but it seems like a waste of time to put in now, considering it wouldn't likely affect the cracked launchers that already exist and would be bypassed within 24 hours, probably before the any of the updated cracked clients were even updated (likely when they test their launchers).

It could be made a real pain to bypass if the devs wanted it bad enough. (see my idea concerning Herobrine repellent xD) The only option that would prevent a huge argument on this thread at this point(I don't like arguments...) would most likely be to get it to the devs ASAP and let them decide whether they want it or not. After all, this game belongs to them and they have the final decision whether they want a new feature or not. No matter what they say to this, if they make their decision there's really no point in arguing.

I really love when game devs make little ways to annoy people when they pirate their game, so full support on this!
The pirates deserve worse, I mean they basically stole the game right from the devs. If someone shoplifted an Xbox disc containing Minecraft Console Edition they would probably be prosecuted for it, the only reason it's not the same for PC is because it's handled via the internet which makes it hard to track down the thieves. I'm sure if Mojang knew exactly who created all the current cracked launchers, those people would have Microsoft lawyers on their backs before this time next week. If it were possible to detect cracked users client side then IMO not only should their language be forced to pirate speak, but they should get a debuff called "Scurvy" that acts like a combo of Nausea(but even worse), high leveled Weakness, high leveled Mining Fatigue, and high leveled Slowness. Thus rendering the game nigh unplayable.

It's really besides the point to bring up that it wouldn't punish pirates. Pirates can always mod the game to get past these things. The only point of the suggestion is to add a bit of humor.
And also, this is no joke the best suggestion I've ever seen.

Pirates are already banned from servers that have online authentication. Most cracked games tend to lack MP support. If you irritate people they may instead think the game is junk and will never consider buying a license.
Just because of how humourous I find this suggestion I support it. I'd find it funny to see reactions of people who pirate the game and just end up getting the pirate language permanently.
I think it'd be pretty funny (and appropriate) if Minecraft forced the language to pirate if it detected that it was pirated.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
I think that is a great idea!

Mojang's biggest way to prevent piracy is preventing cracked launchers from playing on servers that require authentication.
This is common practice with most multiplayer games.
Don't see how the OP's idea would help, and, the chances it would irritate people who might actually buy it in the long run would be a huge negative.
This may be the best one sentence suggestion ever.
Support.
