I think that redstone should be able to be dyed so that people could make more compacted redstone creations with redstone that does not mix and also made the same way as stained glass.
Has one such thread been made in the last 30 days? If so, not redundant. Also, if the OP's suggestion is at least partially original, it wouldn't be redundant anyway. Most suggestions like this suggest just one new type of redstone (like "bluestone").
As for the suggestion itself, it would be useful, but having 15 new types of redstone could be problematic. For redstone, all 16 data values are taken up for its power level, so each new color would need a new block ID. Moreover, I only see a need for up to 4, and in most cases only three, colors of redstone. In that case, I think it should be limited to "greenstone," "bluestone," and possibly "yellowstone" or "purplestone." Each dust would also have its own texture, to assist colorblind people.
The idea is that you'd be able to run differently colored lines of (color)stone next to each other and have them not trigger each other, meaning more compact contraptions.

Redundant. Many threads have been created on this matter.
