Here i have a big ol list of redstone items. these are items are just.. ideas. some of these just make redstone compact-er, while others are new ideas. I would love feedback, so please, leave some down there! (don't yell at me about names. they can be changed!)
1. A new "type" of redstone.
this would act like redstone, just a different color, so the redstone and "new" redstone would not connect, letting you place them next to each other.
( I know you can replicate this using repeaters, pistons, or comparators, but those take a few ticks to get to their destination.)
2. Tesla.
This would power any redstone/ Suggestion 1 redstone in a 5x5 area when powered. this could be useful for wireless redstone, and the tesla could be customizable to only send the redstone signal in one direction, son you don't screw up any redstone next to the tesla.
3.Redstone Crafting table
this really has no use, but would be pretty cool in a server.
4.Unstable Redstone Block.
this block would act like a hopper randomizer, flashing on for a brief moment when powered/not powered (shush, I'm still thinking).
5.Redstone-able ender chest.
this could again be used for wireless redstone, a randomizer, or just a really cool mail system.
6. Mob/ Player sensor
would look like a daylight sensor, but would instead, send a redstone signal out depending on how many mobs/players are in a small area. could be a efficient mob grinder item.
7.Gravitational slab
redstone powered, this slab would effect mobs, sand and gravel, and items. where it faces depends on where it is placed.
8. Farmer.
just a block, this would act like a insta miner, breaking the block in front of it, collecting said block, and moving forward if there was only air. you can stop the block from moving using your good ol friend, slime block.
9. Bloxy.
technically a mob, this cute lil minecart will follow you around. feed it redstone to keep it alive, and it can hold items and usable blocks such as a crafting table. (so theres a minecart following you? you fight giant dragons and drink potions to gain effects. deal with it.)
1. This kind of thing has been suggested in the past. You should check threads for "bluestone" and similar to see what has been said in them.
2. This is either complex, detrimental, or useless depending on which way you're having this work. I think this could be a good suggestion if it was the only thing suggested and you put more thought into it.
3. If it has no use, why should it be in the game?
4. Complete ideas only, please.
5. Um... how does this work? I don't understand. What does it even do?
6. How does this work? What's its range?
7. What does this do?
8. Redstone should be helpful. It should never be capable of playing the game for you. Especially not with so simple a device.
9. The thing that fulfills this purpose is called a mule, and it's already in the game.
So, nine suggestions. One suggested a lot, three incomplete, three vague, one overpowered, and one that's already implemented (albeit in a different way). While I can sort of understand what you're going for with half of them, I don't think you were even ready to make a suggestion. My suggestion for you is to read this, narrow down the list to one item per suggestion, and go all-out with just that item, describing how it works, its exact limits, and most importantly, what it's used for. Quality over quantity.
