That last thread was a complete disaster and I wish I could delete it. The quiver is a bag of arrows and should be used as such. Anyway, this is my second version of the quiver. Double clicking it will open up a menu that has 9-15 slots for arrows. It will automatically use the ones on the left. This accepts any arrow and can be crafted out of leather, found in villages, dungeons, etc. or be equipped by skeletons. Also, arrows could have a tweak. They could bounce off armor enchanted with thorns.
Your suggestion sounds nice except for 2 things,I think it would fit better if instead it was found like saddles,so no crafting. For 2 its that arrows bouncing off thorns would be kinda op,we already have shields,so it would make bows fairly useless in pvp
Alright, I suppose it's a start. What about actually equipping it? Instead of a boring bag of arrows it should act as equipment, possibly taking an armor slot. So to use it you would sacrifice some protection for extra ammo.

I haven't thought of that. I just thought there would be a slot for the quiver.

Double clicking it will open up a menu that has 9-15 slots for arrows. Double clicking doesn't make as much sense as right clicking while holding it. It will automatically use the ones on the left. So, I can fill up a bag with poison 2 arrows to cripple my enemies then instant damage to finish them off regardless of armor? I'm really liking this new idea. This accepts any arrow and can be crafted out of leather,
I think it would be good to implement a recipe like the one above- the leather for the sides, the leather helmet for the bottom on one side and the string for the strap to attach it to your body.
found in villages, dungeons, etc. or be equipped by skeletons. Seems reasonable. Kind of like horse armor, except that, sadly, skeletons cannot wear horse armor. Also, arrows could have a tweak. They could bounce off armor enchanted with thorns. We'll see about that. This might have some flaws.
Responses in bold. I'm liking this version of it. Maybe the Quiver would work if you put it in the off-hand slot? Or maybe sacrificing the chestplate slot for it would do.
Either way, mostly supported.

Watch out for the crabocalypse. Some say the day will never come. But it will.
Feel free to drop by for a chat whenever.
If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.

That should've been in the post to avoid possible confusion. Anyway, I just don't think it would be balanced if you had an extra 9 - 15 slots for arrows without any drawbacks.
A: Less Inventory Space: You put all those arrows in an arrow bag to save the inventory space
B: Effectiveness - How it act to not take up much inventory space makes it effective, because it's storing for combat
C: PvP - If you're in PvP and you run out of arrows in the Quiver, and you have it in your inventory, there you go.
Otherwise, Pretty good idea. I vouch/fully support
Also, I remember when Notch once said that he was going to add these back in the day, but never came to it. I saw these in Stormister's Rediscovered mod once.
I hope your idea gets more support!

The idea is good, wish it was already in minecraft, simple and easy. save inventory slots.
