I'd like to have an option in the custom world options to have more or less ocean. I'm thinking there could be five basic archetypes you select from:
1.) Almost All Land - much less ocean than currently, oceans exist as large lakes, rarely connecting to each other, and there are vast expanses of land without any ocean. Rivers and lakes still exist as normal.
2.) Mostly Land - same as current world generation, oceans are common but exist in limited segments, most of the terrain is not ocean, and landmasses generally connect in vast stretches
3.) Even Split - half of the world is land, half is ocean
4.) Mostly Ocean - landmasses occur in large segments but are often completely surrounded by ocean. Ocean covers most of the terrain, and occasionally there are large stretches of ocean with little or no land. Similar to continents on Earth
5.) Almost All Ocean - land occurs in small islands, but mostly it's just endless ocean
This could make Minecraft a lot more realistic and a lot more fun, especially when exploring vast seas, it could also make mushroom islands much more common than they were. Full support!

Even though we have customized world options, I'm still looking for a good way to do this! We can raise and lower the ocean, but what if we want to keep the ocean where it is, still have all the biomes (not submerging swamps), and just have more or less ocean? This is still an excellent idea for Minecraft! Full support.
