This means that discussing the list of generally disliked ideas is actually off-topic? Because about that we were typing.
No part of this thread should have been used for any sort of "hall of fame" or "wall of shame" suggestion list. This thread is for showing general guidelines for making suggestions, it is not for discussing suggestions or rating them as good or bad. The latest ongoing argument is a good example of why this should be disallowed in a pinned thread.

Now I'm not getting back into the debate above for exactly the reasons Yoshi specified, but I'm curious about this. Both of these things are part of the opening post - are you trying to say that the opening post needs to change, and those topics simply aren't suited to this thread?
Because right now I feel as though you're imposing your own view of what this thread should be rather than what it actually is. If the thread contains a 'hall of fame' and a 'wall of shame', then discussing them is surely not off-topic just because you think they shouldn't be in the thread. Do correct me if I'm missing something here, but if you feel so strongly that those things shouldn't be topics here at all, would it not be best to have them removed from the thread before denouncing any discussion of them as off-topic? We can't read your mind after all - how are we expected to know that you consider a topic directly covered in the opening post as off-topic?
I'm really not trying to be argumentative, you've just seriously lost me here. I'm not quite following what you're saying.

This thread has been unpinned and locked because we will soon be adding an updated thread to replace this.
