Why add a gamerule when you can just use team options that are more flexible?
Using a gamerule is for every player, but teams lets you use it per player.
Why? How about because it's less hassle to add EVERY SINGLE ENTITY to one team and constantly have to add EVERY new spawning mob every 1/20th of a second?
It isn't THAT hard. We aren't talking about something like one commands, all you need is a repeat command block, access to commands, and a power source.
/scoreboard teams add <Name>
This isn't a hard command.
/scoreboard teams option <Name> collisionRule never
Is slightly more complicated, but not hard.
/scoreboard teams join <Name> @e[team=]
This is not hard and is only in a repeat command block which is also powered.
3 easy commands that require little knowledge to run! This is NOT a hassle in any way.
Teams also can be "enabled" per player, unlike gamerules.
Sure, they're not hard, but definitely more annoying to type than just one command.
In total, you have to use 4 commands, one of them being /give @p command_block. If you add the characters of these 4 commands, you get
109 or more.
Or add the even easier command, /gamerule mobCollision false, the character total being
28.
I think the 3.9x character cut-down is worth adding a new command, especially if the scoreboard option is still kept in-game.
I don't agree with this. As much as I love new suggestions, the arguments are repetitive, and the idea isn't put together well. There isn't correct grammar, and its hard to understand what you mean. Plus, I agree with the counter arguments, you can already turn on other options. No support.
Let me explain how the teams option is more flexible:
- Per mob.
- Per player.
- Entities can push their own teams enemies.
- Other team entities can push other team entities.
Placing this on a clock to add everyone to a team isn't hard. Yes, more characters but characters that you could simply copy and paste.
Gamerules apply EVERYWHERE, but with teams, it does not unless every entity was on the team.
Quite honestly, on a slow computer even 1 added repeat command block can cause lagspikes. I should know, since I have one such computer. And while it's not a big problem, I do think the collision gamerule should also be added as a universal command, just for ease. Keep in mind that the team option would still be kept in the game, which you seem to be overlooking.
Recently im making a new map and I discover that when the mob teleport to you is super annoying becouse you move automatically and stuff like that.
With this idea you could do minigames, Vanilla Morph and stuff

Not necessarily. You could just have a command constantly teleporting the mob to you, so that it won't be "pushed" out of the way.
Since the reasoning behind this suggestion isn't that hard to correct in Vanilla, it's not needed as an option.
No Support.

Could you elaborate more? I can't tell if your referring to Mobs or Players.
Thats the principal idea, It would be More easy to do than 4 or more commands, this would also help to the newbies in MinecraftMapMaker
