Could we have a command block prefix for the suggestions forums?

Ever want to wedge a command block behind a wall and realise that it's visible from outside? Or maybe you can place it in the wall, although now it's visible from both sides? Perhaps in the floor, or ceiling?
Ever find it really hard to hide command blocks in some spaces?
Well with this you can literally hide the command block in plain sight.
When opening the command block you will be greeted with the normal layout with a slight twist; I've noticed Mojang getting fancy with buttons in the 1.9 command blocks so I figured this would be the best way as the buttons affect the command block directly, not the command.
Simply click on the button to open a dialogue box and type in the texture you wish to cover the command block with.
(See first attachment)
If you focus your attention on the bottom right, you'll see there's a button called, 'texture'; when clicking this button it will open the dialogue box underneath; this is where you type the block texture you wish you hide the command block as and then you're done!
Easy and ready for your convenience.
But wait! Having trouble finding your hidden command block?
Well have no fear because in creative or spectator mode the command blocks will be outlned with the spectral effect, they will also show the arrow of the command block and the type of command block by changing the colours in the small squares to the colour of the command block type.
(See second attachment)
(Sand block used as an example, will work with all blocks.)
As if command block creations getting so compact thanks to the 1.9 changes wasn't enough, this would be very nice and useful, and you would be able to have a button in the middle of a room with no visible command blocks without having to use another command block to test for a button being pressed so a command would be run.
I would suggest, however, that either in Creative Mode, as a gamerule, or both, you would be able to see which blocks were actually command blocks, whether it be by the texture blinking between the disguise texture and command block texture or by some visual overlay like a colored haze around disguised command blocks. This would be configurable in a gamerule so you could still hide the command blocks from view while in Creative Mode.

To be honest, I think the way they have the command block distinctions set up is fine already: colors indicate type, and arrow shapes indicate whether or not the command block is conditional. I would prefer that a visual distinction be made between always-powered and needs-Redstone command blocks. Possibly a red outline instead of black on the arrows to indicate that a command block is set to always-powered?
those of you wondering why i don't have an active RP (so far none). i try. but whenever i get to the rules section of it my computer restarts. computer: i realise what your telling me and i give up.
When in creative or spectator mode the arrow on the command block will be displayed along with the colour of the command block replacing the colours in the small squares, this way you will be able to see what command block you're using; be it impulse, chain or repeat.
The squares are still animated, they'll remain the same colour but will get lighter and darker.
The spectral effect will still apply alongside this.
(I've used the sand block as an example, in theory it will work with all block types.)
Hate to spoil the party here, but this is what custom resource packs are for. As well, it can't be that hard to find a place for a command block. You can put it outside the map, or underground. This suggestion makes me feel like you're just too lazy to get creative with your command blocks.
It's not about being lazy. It's the fact that there isn't always a good place to put it. This feature would make map-making a lot easier. Putting it underground or outside it doesn't always fix it, either. And why make a resource pack when the implementation of this feature would make it a lot more simple?
Fine, give me one situation where there isn't a place to hide your command blocks. Since when was mapmaking easy? Why wouldn't putting it underground or outside fix it? Are you all really so lazy you can't move a few textures? When was mapmaking ever simple, anyway? My reasoning stands.

Hmmm, perhaps in world with borders? Or maybe for people who aren't as skilled with command blocks? And yes, it is hard. Just because it's hard, doesn't mean it can't be made simpler. And saying stuff like "Just get a texture pack" or "Theres a mod for this" is not a good argument. Your reasoning does not stand.
Firstly, people don't want to have to download dedicated texture packs just to play a map that probably won't last that long.
Secondly, people may be using texture packs they're familiar with and would prefer to use, this uses the textures provided by the current texture pack selected.
Thirdly, this is designed to allow command blocks to be hidden in any surface, even in a wall that's one block thick.
Fourthly, there is only one command block texture meaning it can only be changed into one different texture, this will allow command blocks to retain every single block texture.
Fifthly, map making isn't easy, that doesn't mean it has to remain difficult, that means ideas have to be suggested to make it easy, why should it remain hard? Why would you want to leave out players who already find it difficult to make maps?

Firstly, have you ever heard of something called "including resource packs in maps?" It's a thing that was added a while back.
Secondly, you don't need to have command blocks exposed at all, and if someone's resource pack is ruined, that's their problem.
Thirdly, there is absolutely no reason to hide command blocks in 1-block-thick walls. Almost any command can be put elsewhere.
Fourthly, you have obviously not been keeping up with the updates. There are now three command block textures in the snapshots. And I was only referring to the resource pack thing because you would have whined about it. Of course, I failed to prevent anything.
Fifthly, map making was never easy. Adding this would not make it easier. If you have ever tried to make anything complicated at all, than you would know that hiding the blocks is one of the least of your problems. Plus, those fancy new command blocks make it easier already. If a player finds it difficult to make maps, they don't. Adding this will not change that.
You are correct, there are three textures for different command blocks, this post is actually focused around 1.9+ but they don't act the same way, the reason three different ones exist is to perform tasks using three different methods, they're also compacting command blocks to the point where command block clocks can now be done in a 1x1x1 meter space.
About the resource packs, bigger file means longer download time, mapmakers everywhere on Minecraft, Garry's Mod, even in full fledged games try to keep download times to an absolute minimum, I remember when Tony Hawk's: American Wasteland was released and the big icon in that game was that there was no loading time between areas, they actually made their advert based around that consept.
People don't learn mapmaking in the same order as you, something you know how to do they won't know how to do, for example I don't know what you're talking about when you say, 'Almost any command can be put elsewhere.' I don't know how to do that, I need a button on it, a button on the block it's behind, or a long line of redstone reaching into the ground to it, all of which are impossible to keep hidden at the second to top floor of a building, this for me would make it easier, why else would I suggest it?
I like the idea...but I also agree with what others have said about this not being necessary.
There is really never a situation where you can't simply hide some command blocks in a bedrock bunker (after all, you're already cheating with command blocks; why not just use some bedrock to hide it?) out of sight from the rest of whatever it is you're doing. With location-specific commands, it's easy enough to place command blocks far enough away so that they are not visible, but still can complete their commands. (Keep in mind when I say 'far enough away,' I mean you can hide it literally on the other side of a 1-block wall).
The other issue I see is this - if you're already just trying to hide the command blocks, what about the redstone necessary to make them function? If you somehow cannot hide a command block, this new feature you are suggesting would be instantly rendered null and void by the redstone you have to use in order to get command blocks to function properly. Unless you want to suggest 'hidden redstone,' which is just going overboard at this point.
Hmmm, perhaps in world with borders?
Command blocks still function outside of world borders. There are entire maps dedicated to such a thing.
Yes, but then the player won't be able to activate the commands intentionally, unless you are a redstone genius but not everyone is one.[/b]
This is solved simply by having a lever or a button on a wall, and a command block directly on the other side of it. Bam. Problem solved. Not complicated.
To be honest, I'm gonna have to say I don't support this. It's a nifty little idea, but it's something that can already be solved by just not being lazy. Unnecessary.

complicated. What if you need to use the space directly behind the wall?
Give me a situation where this would be the case, and I might give you this one. But I for one cannot think of a situation where you would absolutely always have to use the space directly behind the wall.
What about the redstone necessary to make them function? Buttons, levers and pressure pads. 'Nuff said.
Okay, fair enough. Yet most of the people here seem to be discussing hiding complicated command block redstone contraptions. So buttons, levers, and pressure pads don't exactly do the trick there. Don't just think of the "I'm hitting a button to complete one command," but things such as redstone clocks (using hoppers or repeaters), or looped commands...these things would not suddenly be hidden like this, but would need a separate location entirely...which renders this suggestion null and void.
Like I said, do it the harder way if you want, but do not go out of your way to force others to do the same. It's called opinions.
Let's not devolve into rudeness now. I'm simply pointing out that there are very large holes in this suggestion, mainly in that it doesn't really serve that much of a practical use. It's entirely situational for a few instances, and is solved by having some pre-planning and not being lazy about it.
