IDEA TO EXPAND THIS IDEA
-so instead of having a bunch of a random monster spawners, make them spawn naturaly, as the player could attempt to break all of them and clear out the dungeon. Sorta like guardians.
-Maybe the queen can drop a rare item? Because I wouldn't want to bother the queen if I don't get anything good.
-Instead of a queen spawner, make the queen naturaly spawn like the boss guardian.
-The queen should lay eggs.

An Ant charges at you with a block of leaves in it's mandibles, but still damages you? Sounds a bit odd.

-Maybe the queen can drop a rare item? Because I wouldn't want to bother the queen if I don't get anything good. I've been thinking about that, maybe a good food item, like Nectar? The resin block would be useful for traps and building though.

-The queen should lay eggs. Nope. Having eggs opens a can of worms. If it laid eggs, people would want to pick up those eggs and have tamed ants or something.
How do you know the monster spawners inside the anthill aren't really just sacs of eggs?
And eggs would have to be transported to the hatchery room by worker ants. Ant then the worker ants would need really good pathfinding to find the Hatchery room. Ect, Ect....
And why would a Ant Queen that's getting attacked by a human want to lay eggs? It would be like you deciding to take a massive energy draining dump during a battle.
It wants it's eggs to be safe, and hatch naturally. The safest spot for eggs at that point would be inside it.
You don't have to like this idea but this is my ideae It's spelled "Idea", you spelled it right at the beginning of the sentence.

However I think the models could be changed. The Ants look too much like the staiend clay around them. maybe like this :

Anyway, bugs are't that smooth. They have a lot of hair on them in some varieties. Rather than make them be a solid block of color, I pixelated them a bit. Make them look a bit rough. Like this....
Only problems I see are that the Ants seem a bit too similar to spiders, and spawners being too common. Mojang has said that they want each mob to be very unique, not just "upgraded, or leveled up" versions of another. The new drops are interesting, as well as the potion effect idea, but other than that, there isn't much difference between a normal spider and a soldier ant.
As far as the spawners go, it is a huge score in a normal world to find two mob spawners close enough to create a double farm, but with spawners being as common as you've said, it would be fairly easy to create double, triple or maybe quadruple farms. Also having the queen spawn using a spawner would make farming them way too easy (considering they are supposed to be a mini-boss). I suggest taking a lesson from guardians and wither skeletons and just having them spawn as part of the structure.
Other than that though, this is the most well thought out, best idea I've seen in a while! keep it up!
Yeah, ik. Mojang isn't great at sticking to their own statements. I don't think anyone though would say fighting a cave spider is anything like a normal one though. The poison (or wither in the case of the skeleton) is a huge difference, along with the size difference of both, the tactics are different for fighting each. The magma cube I would say is probably the best counter example. Other than the high jump thing, it's just a stronger tougher slime.
But is there anything I should improve on before you do that?
The design on your ants is awesome, but I'd suggest giving them some more blend of somewhat matching colors for their textures, because right now it almost looks closer to being a solid color. I can see that you got some red and orange mixed in already, but the colors still look very close together. If my explanation confused you, please tell me.
Another thing I'd recommend is giving your post as much spacing and polishing as you can. It looks fine now, but you never know what could be improved.
The most attractive thing I can think of for your post is posting your ant images with nothing but a transparent background. Try to make your ant and new block images look as if they'd be on the wiki - with that perfect diagonal angle and whatnot. If you choose to follow any of this advice or not, you'll probably still make it on the hall of fame, because you put in the amount of required work.
If you want more on what to fix up, I'd say PM Cerroz, since he's now gonna be handling the "Overachiever's Guide" while I focus on the suggestion do-and-don'ts.

I like this idea featuring giant insects, I just think that the model should look a little smoother but I do like it very very much. It kind of stacks with my bee suggestion as they are rather similar, but there is nothing wrong with that. Creative blocks and textures you provided.

I am kinda confused. Cerroz said to do that a while back while I was still creating the textures, so I added some orange to it. But I still don't fully understand what it is you want me to do. What colors should I add to the texture?

Well tons of mobs already have "upgraded" variations of sorts. Spiders have cave spiders, zombies have zombie pigmen and wither skeletons, etc.
